Thanks! It was a really fun and memorable two weeks, not only because of the streams and raising money for The Trevor Project, but also because I just really enjoyed all of the planning I did for this.
Sheer dedication! Its amazing to see creators do fantastic things for an amazing cause. I hope to be in the stream for the next one. Don't want to miss it!
Dang. I'm sorry to see that you couldn't complete it in time. But congratulations for all the money raised, *and* completing it eventually! Additionally, I wanted to clarify; you can only catch the Regi's in the Gen 3 games, then transfer them up, right? And that's the only way to get Regigigas in the Gen 4 games?
Without access to a special event Regigigas distributed in 2009 (which I had for these streams), you are correct; transferring them in from gen 3 WOULD be necessary. Otherwise, if you have this event Regigigas in your party in Platinum, you can find the other Regis in rooms on Route 228 (Regirock), Mt. Coronet (Regice), and Iron Island (Registeel). Without the event Regigigas in your party, I'm 99% sure these rooms contain type boosting items that correspond to the type of the Regi that you'd find in there with the event Regigigas in your party. In other words, a Hard Stone on Route 228, NeverMeltIce in Mt. Coronet, and a Metal Coat in Iron Island. And yes, it *is* hilariously backwards that the only way to get the Regi trio in gen 4 (without transferring) requires the Pokemon that you normally can only get by having the Regi trio in your party. They're also the only three Pokemon that are like this - every other non-mythical Pokemon is obtainable in at least one gen 4 game with no kind of event needed.
No worries! BTW, I remember you commenting on my video from last year announcing this event, wondering about how it went. Sorry that it took so long to get this video up, but I hope you enjoyed it!
It's okay! And I did! I always liked completing pokédexes, so this challenge really stuck out as interesting to me. I also wanted to show as much support as I could since you don't seem to be getting a lot of traction from those one or two trending videos that you put up. (Mainly referring to the Ribbon Scizor one, which is the first video of yours I saw.) Though I sadly I don't have much money to give.
Yeah, that's another thing that takes a long time to do. Heck, I think Platinum is one of the games where you have to complete the National Pokedex in order to get all of the stars!
@yukihoshikawa the only challenging part of getting the black trainer card was of doing one of the master rank contests to get the black trainer card as i kept losing as i had been doing it on a pre-owned save of pokemon platinum it got a bit easy as they had beaten the elite four but i had to touch trade some of the pokemon they were missing to get the bronze card as well as stealing 50 flags using another ds to get the gold card, but i think the slightly long part was obtaining the silver card to get 100 win streaks in the battle tower ( though you can also get the silver trainer card if you do double battles ) overall, maxing out the trainer card is quite the adventure as long as you're that dedicated to be honest the black trainer card is probably the most coolest looking trainer card than most of the other trainer cards
Dayum, this inspired me to try this on the Gen 3 Dex. That Dex was always a childhood dream to complete knowing quite well how notoriously absurd it is. I got through Emerald and Sapphire the other night. But still got 4 more Gen 3 games to get through, including GCN ones 😮. Not gonna do a living Dex, but will at least fill the Dex
I started doing a gen 3 dex once, but then I just kinda gave up, lol. Think i got distracted by something else and never came back to it. I think having the time limit like a 2 week stream-athon definitely helped me not abandon doing something like that. Best of luck with gen 3!
I did that last December, and now I'm doing heartgold. Just yesterday when i got the fossils ready i realized i have to grind them up to lv 40. And i did the exact same thing less than two months ago..
Still very impressive that you completed a full livingdex in around three weeks or so.
good times...good times.
great stream and amazing video!

Aaa, thank you! I can't wait for the event I have planned for July to start; these are always the best streams of the year!
@@yukihoshikawa I can't wait to see the stream this year!
This brings back some memories.
For real - these charity streams are always my favorites of the year.
How did you get arceus
I keep trying for deoxys on the dns but that's the last Mon I need for my hg living dex 😅 so annoying
This seems impossible I got 117 Pokémon. 4 days in and some Pokémon can’t evolve without trading.

Ooooohhhhh. That makes more sense! Gotcha!

Also I love the fact that you used Gen 4 for this. And by extension, Heartgold, my first pokémon game.
6 years? Feels like yesterday! Either way, it's definitely a milestone which l believe is worth cherishing. Can't wait till July.
I know, right? I'm honestly surprised at how long it's been!
July's gonna be so chaotic; I can't wait!
reminds me of how it took me weeks to max out my trainer card in pokemon platinum
