Here are some basic facts and names: two German bands: Int the first room we have AnnenMayKantereit (AMK) from Cologne, Germany, with singer Henning May (the guy in the brown t-shirt and the deep voice), Christopher Annen (guitar), Severin Kantereit (percussion) - that's where the strange name of the band comes from, it's just the surnames of the three founding members: Annen, May and Kantereit -, Malte Huck (bass) and Ferdinand Schwarz (trumpet); in the second room we have Giant Rooks from Hamm, Germany, with Frederic Rabe (the singer with the longish hair and the somewhat higher voice), Finn Schwieters (guitar), Finn Thomas (drums), Jonathan Wischniowski (e-piano) and Luca Göttner (the Elvis lookalike on bass). Later Giant Rooks are joined by the AMK people, who come into the room without their instruments - except for Ferdinand, who takes his trumpet with him. The two bands toured together in early 2019, and the video was made during that tour by Lenny Rothenberg and Marius Möller. Henning May was 27, when the video was made, but rather looks like 17 in it. 2011, after graduating from high school, AnnenMayKantereit began as buskers, playing in the streets of their home town Cologne. Last year they returned to Cologne (two of the members live in Berlin by now) and played to a sold-out stadium in front of 41,000 people: th-cam.com/video/EblZVPNsO8I/w-d-xo.html
Annenmaykantereit, or AMK, are kind of famous for making these kind of 'spontaneous' music sessions, like this one or 'Can't get you out of my head' with Parcels th-cam.com/video/RacxNskxySo/w-d-xo.html or "Roxanne" with Milky Chance th-cam.com/video/VI4ssGtfdxw/w-d-xo.html or 'Valerie' th-cam.com/video/Jm-FH82lVbE/w-d-xo.html If you want to hear more of Henning May try their own german songs and this one HM ft. Juju 'Vermissen' th-cam.com/video/YHbYAUs9JCo/w-d-xo.html or 'Ausgehen' from Annenmaykantereit th-cam.com/video/y6BmrRLpGJQ/w-d-xo.html or their Proberaumsessions of this song th-cam.com/video/IYs0zCE55OI/w-d-xo.html You definitely will enjoy all of them. The band in the first room is AnnenMayKantereit. Henning May in the brown shirt with the deep voice is part of this band (Christian Annen and Severin Kantereit are his bandmates - therefore the name. And they do have other musicians who join them as well, like the trumpet and bass here) Can't go wrong with anything they did! They have some awesome english covers up on their channel! If you're up for it I also recommend listening to some of their original songs in german (preferably with a good translation of the lyrics to go along with it, so you can appreciate the song fully :). The second band is Giant Rooks, and Fred Rabe is their singer. (They do get lost a little bit in direct comparison to Henning but are genuinely really good, too, and worth a listen! I love their live sessions, if you're interested For example this one: th-cam.com/video/XnPdNFXsiKg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=uIkBeLvagGcu-faZ Or this: th-cam.com/video/grfiGzmoJ74/w-d-xo.htmlsi=SQzbzl846AVjs9qf Both bands toured together (Giant Rooks opened for AMK), and that's how this collab happened. Both bands are incredible live musicians :) I genuinely prefer their live versions over the studio recordings most of the time
Who they are, you already know by previous comments, I suppose. Great reaction btw💐. They did several of these creative collabos. You will love their version of The Police's Roxanne featuring Milky Chance and Can't get you out of my head with The Parcels. All live recorded one-takes proving their musicality and skills ❤
AMK have a real funky vibe. You should definately check out their original songs too. They're really good at mixing classical instruments into their music.❤
The original song is by Suzanne Vega from the early 1980s. You may know another great song by her - Luka. Anyway, AMK have dozens of really good songs as well - some English covers, some German originals.
The second singer (with the great voice) is Henning May from "AnnenMayKantereit". Just 2 suggestions: 1. AnnenMyKantereit - "Barfuß am Klavie"r (Barefoot at the piano) Official Video 2. Annenmaykantereit/Milky Chance - "Roxanne "
Oh, it looks like Annnenmaykanteriet is the name of the band, of which the lead singer is Henning May. I think he is the guy with the lighter voice and that Giant Rooks is the guy with the deeper, kind of raspy voice. This was very good, just an easy paced, feel good song.

Annenmaykantereit,-Their German song Pochantas is great and I can't even understand it.
The band in the first room is AnnenMayKantereit.

Original by Suzanne Vega, Henning May does have naturally a very deep voice. He can turn on or off the rasp at will.
The raspy voice is Henning May from AnnenMayKantereit. Thanks for the proper reaction to his voice. :)
Annenmaykantereit has a good english coversongs, like "toxic" (original from Britney Spears). But for me there own songs in german are more better.
This a-cappella song was written by Suzanne Vega in 1981 and released on her album "Solitude Standing" in 1987.
I would really suggest "Sometimes I like to lie" by AMK. You will be floored. I have it on repeat at the moment.
Tom's Diner was written by Suzanne Vega in the early 80s and it's been released in 1987 I believe. AMK and Giant Rooks did the Song justice.
The original song is by Suzanne Vega from the early 1980s. You may know another great song by her - Luka. Anyway, AMK have dozens of really good songs as well - some English covers, some German originals.
Please react to the german marching band Meute
Hennig May has gravel in his voice

The raspi one is May ,Henning May from the group Annen, May and Kantereit - Short: Annenmaykantereit.
If you want to do another one, than Rovanne would be the best choice
