Just a few, 1) you cannot see the drone at that height so you have no idea if you are in the flight path of a manned aircraft. 2) Drones have this magic ability to transform into a brick. Should the power go or if there is a malfunction just think how fast downward the drone would be going if it turned into a brick from that height. 3) You are a danger to manned aircraft.
The drone pilot may have gotten an altitude waiver with FAA. In that case he would be clear to fly inside that window of airspace and altitude for a given time. Otherwise I what agree this would be unsafe.
