My favorite part of this vid is when I was watching it my 13 yr old daughter came in and asked, "Rach?" like you're an old friend. We've watched some of your vids together before but she started watching today and started saying, "hey! I can do that!" and "Oh! that's how she does that!" then she says, "Rach is pretty cool! I'm gonna have to try that!" lol Thank you! Your catchy tunes, fun and funky colorful pieces and the way you make it look so easy inspired a teen of the tech generation! Now, that's a statement to your talent! Thanks for being a great role model and sharing art not branding! I am hoping to start playing a bit with mixed media in the coming months... If you don't mind me asking - do you seal the finished projects in any way? Do you use a fixative, etc...? Or is it not required?

I don't seal projects like this one, it's just for fun, though if I were making pieces to sell, I use either a gel medium or a spray fixative depending on the mediums used to create the project.

I love cats. I am making this one. I suffer from anxiety and depression. It comes with out warning. I had it since I had open heart surgery. It is a lot to explain. So I surround my self with things that make me happy. Jesus does for sure. Also paining and doing mixed media art too. Art therapy really works. So thank you for lessons you show us. This one is my favortie.

Trying ot learn...did you stamp cats and then color off the post card another separate stamping and then attach to post card stamping in case you made a mistake in the coloring? btw...I absolutely love this post card art...the cats are adorable and the colors are beautiful...will you frame this or do you have a post card collection in a binder?

I stamp them separately so that the colours will show up. If I stamped directly on the background, the colours would be muddied by the green and aqua colours already there. I hope that helps. I keep my postcard art in a box, then when there are enough pieces I bind them into a book :-)

Yes, you must. I think they are my favourite medium right now. I love how they add that subtle sparkle to projects without it being completely over powering. Get them out and get painting :-)

I came across this video and realized I have a cat stamp like that but it's not exactly like that, same company though. I've never used it. After watching this video I am inspired to try some of your techniques and to pull out that stamp!
