I was already suffering with a cold when I was filming this so I really was expecting to come out feeling much worse. But I'm glad you enjoyed watching this :)
Thanks very much for saying so I'm glad you enjoyed watching this. I really enjoyed spending the day there it's always a great station to come to at any stage of the year. I loved the sound of the 390's passing over the points
Awesome part one. I always thoroughly enjoy your videos from Stafford, especially the freight trains. I will look forward to part 2, i hope there will be more freight. Be well and keep safe, regards Gary.
Again, very interesting how is that 09:25 Bournemouth service went straight through from Basingstoke to Southampton Central, not calling at Winchester or Southampton Airport Parkway. I wonder why cross country had done that. Maybe it was due to a possible speed restriction in the area.
Hi Tornado922. Great video as always to start the new year and top man for braving the chilly conditions with plenty of traffic keeping you busy. Looking forward to all your journeys, trials, tribulations and plenty of mess-ups along the way. Have to confess I've watched pretty much all your videos since '14. Should be a subscriber really but never looked past it. Parts 2 and 3 should be fantastic.
Hello there :) Well thank you kindly for your continued support it really does mean a huge amount to me to hear that you have been following my channel since 2014 :) It was freezing that day and I was already suffering with a cold as it is haha. I can assure you that there will be plenty of mess ups as the year progresses ;)
Time to get started, and what a start. Ultra clean and just beautiful by the bridge, I thank you for that ;} Sqquuueeeeeeeee!!! Damn that first Freightliner has power to spare. 66534 light duty or pick-ups en route? Sometimes when the Brothers Jacobs are frozen, speech becometh harder. Jokes aside try to stay warm. It was a nice balanced film, in all honesty I've been watching Bullet Trains lately, so it's nice to see you back. That GBRF was a bullet herself, and the number was.....? I kept hitting pause and still couldn't catch it. I have to say, it was real busy at times, the station is buzzing yet seems slow flowing. That one Virgin sounded like Vaders private Train. Great work and an awesome freighting finish. Thanks! B.P.
It feels good to be back after having most of the month off. I tend to start January in that way to be honest. Give myself a break before getting back into the swing of things. The number for the GBRF engine was 66741 :) It was bloody cold that day but I got used to it after a while haha. Stafford is always a great station to come to as there is always something good to catch here. 66534 would have that consist for the rest of the journey so would have had a fairly easy run along the line instead of some of the other locos that would've been hauling much heavier loads
It's still pretty cold here in Ontario. Thinking about starting a fire, I got no Fireplace ;} 66741 thanks for that number, she was flying! 66534, nothing wrong with some light duties (Hehheh) she got work her next run I'm sure. NO SLACK!! All said, beautiful station and a great welcome back. P.S. Thanks for the acknowledgement for the Scale Gauge request! B.P.
Thanks ever so much :) It was freezing that day and I was already suffering with a cold when I was filming this haha :) But I am feeling much better now :)
A tad Nippy Jarred i wouldn't mind having some of those cold temperatures as here in Australia we're copping very hot days with temps in the high 30's low 40's at the moment but then again nothing new with Aussie Summers but i hate extreme heat i'm more a winter person.
It was rather nippy that day and I was already suffering with a cold as it is so I was expecting to come out feeling much worse haha. I've seen the weather that you have been getting over there and it's crazy I definitely couldn't cope with the extreme heat
This is a wonderful film jarred, i thoroughly enjoyed watching, good variety here as always, thumbs up from me as always, Do you know if the 350/1s are staying or going off lease as well?
When you read out the name of that 66, it sounded like you said it as Swanage Railway. It’s actually Swanage Railway. Not saying this to be picky, I’m just saying this so next time you see it and it has that nameplate on, you will know how to correctly say it.
Can only applaud the dedication, it was pretty chilly yesterday where I am never mind there. Top station with plenty of variety, well filmed as always
I was already suffering with a cold when I was filming this so I really was expecting to come out feeling much worse. But I'm glad you enjoyed watching this :)
Great video, thank-you! Many interesting pass-throughs, at 6:40 the southbound Virgin train crossing over to the Loop was stately and almost elegant!
Thanks very much for saying so I'm glad you enjoyed watching this. I really enjoyed spending the day there it's always a great station to come to at any stage of the year. I loved the sound of the 390's passing over the points
As always, brilliant, thanks for braving the cold weather. We've all been there, freezing cold for our hobby!!!
Thanks very much but I'm glad you enjoyed watching this. It was freezing that day and I was already suffering with a cold as it is haha

Thanks very much I'm glad you enjoyed watching this part. It was a great day out but very cold

It may have been to do with engineering works taking place at the time
Tornado922 that’s a thought as all of them seemed to do it.

I have a question: why do the green trains (don't know their name sorry) make that beeping noise?

I did say Swanage Railway.............
Tornado922 I actually meant Swanitge railway.
I’m still annoyed I couldn’t come down but great video
I'm sure we can something sorted out for next time
@3.40 you may need a new pair of ears after that screech but for the wagons there's nothing a spray of WD-40 won't fix
I think I heard nearby glass windows shattering when that train was on it's breaks
Hi
Hello
Great video
