I would also say it did considerably good slowly pulling away from 414 horsepower Lexus like that if you think about the fact that stock it only came with a low 350 horsepower, and it was heavy.
+Dean Grimsell My Lexus makes around 420whp and at the top of each gear he was a little faster and would just fall back on the shift slightly. I'd say that's pretty decent for an LT1. Ive ran 12.2 @ 116 before getting exhaust.
+fwdGTP you guys obviously don't know much about hot rodding, no offense. But an LT1 with some smart mods (cutting rotational mass, cutting out weight, and proven power mods), LT1's are no joke and still extremely competitive with modern muscle cars. Peak HP isn't everything. For example, my friend and I picked up a 1994 trans am LT1 automatic. We did an intake, full exhaust (dumps before the bumper) drag pack, 3.73 gears, rocker arms & valve springs, and a junk email tune. He went 12.40 @ 114 in 2800 DA. All of this with 130k miles in a car that was treated terribly. We got it for $3k. We haven't even cracked open the motor yet for a cam, plenty of room to grow
