Of all of the G7 improvements, I agree, the grace period is the best. Second place is the integrated transmitter, in my opinion. Glad you're doing well!

I use a Tandem pump and I just switched over to the G7. The first two went smoothly, but the next two didn’t. I had to restart my pump because it wouldn’t connect. 😢 Now I’m very nervous every time I switch out a sensor. Maybe I should wait until it has fully used up the 12 hour grace period to see if that makes a difference. 🤷‍♀️

I would love to see a whole pump video if you can! That’s how I found you on TH-cam, and I’ve been on the same pump as you for 9 months and I’ve mostly gotten the hang of it, but there’s always room for more tips if you have any!

I'm a Type 1 that uses a ton of insulin per day (100 basal, plus probably 60 bolus a day) and I'm currently on the Omnipod due to insurance. I was on the Tandem X2 prior to that. I MUCH prefer the Tandem to Omnipod. Even with the 300 units on the X2, if you don't already change your site every 2 days, you might want to see if your doctor will write your RX to change every 2 days. For me, since I use a ton of insulin, changing every 2 days cuts down on the amount of scar tissue that builds up from pushing that much insulin into a single site over the course of 3 days. I'm also super insulin resistant as well.
