Thank you for sharing about your bladder issues. This is something I really struggle with and is, at least for me, definitely part of the fnd. It takes me so long to pee, even when I know I'm desperate to. I have to try various techniques that I'm still figuring out, everything from breathing and meditations to distraction. But either way it still takes a long time and is something I'm pretty self-conscious of. Also the face stuff you mentioned is something I get a lot and is one of my signs a seizure might be coming on. But yeah, my symptoms change so much and it's kind of exhausting trying to explain it to people close to me, let alone to drs.
Thank you for coming back to this channel after your break, I find you very relatable (from the other side of the world!) and it's like chatting to a friend when you upload

Good morning Casey! I enjoy listening to your story! Your calm conversational way is pleasant. It is helpful to hear what symptoms you are experiencing, I resonate with so many. I have the itching thing too! Mostly my head and ears but occasionally my whole body will itch. I haven’t had seizures but I have wild movements and facial dystonia. I haven’t had problems with urinating but I have had such problems with bowel movements that I have spent long painful bloody sweat pouring off me effort finishing the job! It is terrible! I have for the time anyway found an herbal prescription that works as long as I remember (another awful symptom) to take it. I send you much love as you manage this journey! I have been blessed to be where I have supportive and knowledgeable medical care. I’ve come to expect my appointments to come with long waits…but I have a very supportive husband and family. My faith in a loving God gets me through so much🙏🌸

I didn't read the comments so maybe someone else already said it but i have had (and sometimes still do) the same issues with peeing. Not the feeling that you have before but the difficulty with letting it go out. Also i was unable to fully empty my bladder in one go. I then got diagnosed by a urologist with hypertonic pelvic floor. Then i went to a pelvic floor physiotherapist and she said that in more than 90% of the times that's due to anxiety. This was all before i got diagnosed with FND but in a way it's probably related since hypertonic pelvic floor > anxiety > FND. I can't really give you any advice. If you were to be a dude (i am) then i would suggest peeing while sitting down but i don't think that's necessary advice. Just don't try to strain too much. And look up on Google for the right posture when peeing and going number 2. Yes, apparently you can do those things wrong in life.

Hi- I get urinary retention from specific medications: klonopin, tramadol, marijuana, post anesthesia (ativan could cause this). See if it happens after you're med free. I also get the itchies from tramadol, not sure if you're taking any pain meds but those cause itchiness for me, especially if I take a larger dose. I get tingling in my face, I have no idea why and can't tell what triggers it. I have tracked that my menstrual cycle definitely increases body pain. i wonder if your body pain, joint/muscle pain can be tracked to this. I'm also deconditioned so doing very little wears me out. Nice to hear your seizures are down.

Hi! Thanks for sharing. Those are interesting thoughts and I’ll have to think about it! I definitely get heightened pain during my menstruation!

I also struggle with urination and itching. My itching fits are usually my whole body, it itches to the point it hurts and I cry. My doctors don't have any idea how to help me. Every new symptom I get they say it is FND, so I don't really go to doctors anymore.

Yes I only get the itching once in awhile and it’s dreadful, I’ll itch till I’m like raw. I did go to the pharmacy and ask for help. They gave me some sort of antihistamine. I don’t believe I’m having an allergic reaction because there is no rash. But the antihistamine helps a bit I assume because it has kind of a drowsy effect that makes me feel calm/dull the senses.

@@casseyklie tried antihistamines too, they sometimes make me calm but not usually.

The gabapentin is HORRIBLE about causing brain fog and spacey …. Kinda like your head is in the icebox . I’d focus on getting that one stopped or cut way down and stay on the other 2 meds . ( I am a nurse ) but am not trying to give medical advice - just saying (what I ) would do . Once I was on only 100 mg of gaba for another condition and I felt like I had Alzheimer’s suddenly and absolutely could not stay awake !

Yes I’m trying to go off of it. Definitely causes a bunch of fatigue
