    Great test. Looks like manufacturers have a long way to perfecting small object avoidance. But were getting there, as L10 Pro shows.

    Great vid! I’m not sure the S6 MaxV failed to avoid socks and bowls and such. I got the impression after all the tests I did that it recognizes certain objects as “harmless” and purposely pushes them out of the way. Did you notice how it slows down when doing so? Like with the socks. I think that’s to move the object but not to run it over. What do you think?

    If you could choose any of these robotic vacuums based on install performance which would you choose as the best robotic vacuum, second best and third? My hone is about 1/3rds carpet, 1/3rd hard Floor (wood, fake wood, and tile)

    • @SmartRobotReviews
      @SmartRobotReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What a question haha. Let's talk from my point of view and my experience. I don't have carpets so basically cleaning performance on hard floors is the same for all three for me. I like that with the S6 Max you can see the pictures or at least icons of avoided objects. Remote view is also a nice feature for someone. The Dreame has the worse mopping system among the three (in my opinion) but again, on a day-to-day cleaning you wouldn't notice the difference. The 360 S10 is great as it has a very user-friendly dustbin and the cleaning brushroll looks good to me too. And it's short! But I don't have places where my other robots can't fit so it's not significant for me tho I like the new hidden Lidar technology. So it really depends on whether you are willing to spend more or not, want new technology or not etc...

    • @SmartRobotReviews
      @SmartRobotReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Do you have carpets? If so, I would recommend the Dreame L10 Pro. The S6 MaxV is not very good on carpets. The S6 MaxV has a bit better mopping function (larger water tank and supplies water more evenly). The Roborock app is more polished and user-friendly than the UI of the Mi Home. The Roborock app also has the ability to send the robot to a specific room by voice command via Alexa/Google Home, so you can say something like "Roborock, clean the kitchen". The Dreame provides only basic start/stop voice commands. The L10 Pro avoids objects a bit better, but unlike the S6 MaxV, it doesn't have the feature like a remote camera and doesn't show icons and photos of avoided objects on the map. Other than that, both are great robot vacuums.

    The Dreame l10 Pro is a brand new product. i think they will optimize it with future updates. Thanks for the nice Video, i was thinking about the Max6 and the Dreame. The Maxv6 was not that better than expected. Also the Max6 costs 200€ more. i bought the Dreame one yesterday and i think that was a right decision. But i have worries about Carpets. im also pretty sure that all of this robots has problems with the Safety Crash Sensors (regarding stairs). This Sensors makes always problems on my Carpets.

    • @SmartRobotReviews
      @SmartRobotReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As a solution you can cover the cliff sensors. As I understand you have dark carpets right? As to MaxV I still use it as my main robot vacuum but the robot vacuum world change so fast that I would say this robot is aging already even tho it's relatively new. If you used other robots that had such issues with carpets, the Roborock and 360 would also do the same. I saw only a few models that can work on black carpets but I don't want to recommend them.

      Tough choice. I would say depending on your needs. The S10 is a very good-looking robot with a short body. If you want a Lidar robot that can get under most furniture, that's the one. But it doesn't leave spots on the maps on objects it avoids which I really appreciate with the S6 MaxV.
      The Roborock is a decent robot but is taller and has a camera for object recognition so I can see what specifically it has avoided as it works.
      In terms of cleaning performance both are equal but I think the S10 does a bit better job as a mop.
      So probably just go for the one that looks nicer to you since both are very good.

      The S7 is better in some way, but worse in object avoidance because unlike the S6 MaxV, it lacks the front camera. How does the carpet cleaning performance compare with the roborock and the dreame ? I was set on the roborock but the dreame looks better value as I’m in uk I can’t get the roborock with the bin

    • @SmartRobotReviews
      @SmartRobotReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      By the Roborock with the bin, you meant the S7 with the auto-emptying base? Models from this video don't support the self-empty base, but I did test the Roborock S7 and Dreame Z10 Pro that support the base. Both are great and probably about the same in terms of cleaning performance. If you want better mopping, the S7 would be a better choice as it has a vibrating mopping pad and can automatically lift it on carpets. The Z10 Pro on the other hand has a front 3D sensor that helps to avoid low-profile objects like socks, slippers, cables, etc. So it depends on what is more important for your, better object avoidance or better mopping. By the way, amazon.de Roborock seller delivers to the UK from Germany.

    I just got my L10. Some feedback I have had the following robots all of the S60 models, the RR s4 max E4 and S6maxv. Ok, so here are my thoughts. The 360 9 nine did the best job of all the previous bots on carpet s6max v the worst; the L10 is as good as the s9. Navigation is hands down the best 👍. Better than the s6maxV, it does not have issues with mirrors like the t8 true detect. It avoids items; you can let it run without fear of getting stuck, especially with no go line in place. The app is OK 360 is better, RR is the best. The App is serviceable, good enough. I paid $330 plus tax; you can't do better for the $ dreams CS is more responsive than 360, but they both suck; I think the dreame app will be more stable as the ecosystem is larger. Multiple floor plan is like the 360 s9. You have to select the map level then place the robot on that floor/map. It will detect where it is located and does it quicker than the s9, or RR mapping is good on par with the 360 s9.

      Thanks for sharing Rick. Agree, for the dollar you won't find anything better. The Dreame is a decent robot and yes the app might not be the best but still very usable. If one doesn't want to spend more, the Dreame is a great choice.

      @@SmartRobotReviews this lidar software and hardware is more accurate than what was being used in the 2020 model bots, more detail, and does not bump as hard into objects; it maps and cleans a room faster if that matters and anyone, the My app is good its great if you are using Xiaomi devices, my robot came with a home security camera as an add on gift, if you have lights or other items you can set up automations, it is quiet, and it seems to deep clean well. Navigation good, with the ability to improve and Dreame support answers within a few hours, previous observations of wide passes are unfounded; I looked at several reviewers running robots on the same tile floor to use as a reference, and it is not the case I also ran this on the carpet then ran the s6maxv and looked at the lines left in the carpet it's the same

    • @ricke95126
      @ricke95126 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The avoidance is not trying to keep the robot from touching any item. It's trying to keep the robot from getting stuck, keeping the object away from the brushes and wheels. It's not 100%, but it's pretty close to "schedule it and let it run, and you don't have to worry about a stuck robot agitation is excellent. You can visually see the carpet fibers being moved. I get those golf course lines that you see from robots that seemed to agitate the carpet well. It at least makes me feel like the robot has done some cleaning. Roombas do an excellent job of this. The robot doesn't make the high-pitched noise that roborock make

      I spoke too soon after also of uses there are some issues, 1st multi map does not work there are bugs, and Dreame is aware, same issues with the d9, which I hope they will fix. If you have one floor, this is not an issue, but it is not useable in a multi-floor plan environment. It creates ghost rooms, and the robot has to be reset then remapped. With 3d on, it misses entire areas of the map to clean, like under a table with a chair or areas where the space is tight. 3rd works in wide-open spaces with obstacles, in tighter spots, or avoids them altogether. CS responded to the email, but they do not have a solution and admitted they are not prepared to handle tech support. If I had one floor, I would keep it, but it's not useable for multiple floor plans.. It cleans, great!!
