I highly recommend going through Griffith Park (maybe even starting at Griffith Observatory and going up Hogsback trail, which is a really cool ridge with expansive views on both sides) and coming up the sign from behind via Mt. Chapel. There are interesting routes to take, some of them quite fun and involve some climbing. At sunset, you'll get some absolutely gorgeous views. And the original Batcave from the 1960s Batman television series is also nearby!

Bennett Cerf was the cofounder of the book publishing company Random House and a long time panelist on the popular TV show “What’s My Line” As a side note, Random House was created as a “general interest” publisher and was designed by Cerf and his wife to fill the gap between serious literary works and pulp fiction. It lead to many children’s book franchises and helped define pop culture fiction for decades.

At 28:06 minute marker, there is a photo on the wall of a man and woman who are in a hot rod. This was in the 30s - 40s. The woman looks like my mom. I was born 1951, the last of 3 children. I've seen pictures of my mom from back then, and she looked so much like her I had to stop the video. I wonder if your friend remembers his name. My mom married once prior to marrying my dad during that time. It's probably just the style back then and not my mom, but Golly Gee Wiz it sure does look like her. The guys name of whom she married was Norm. That would be so cool if that couple happened to be my mom and her 1st.

That was a cool episode. Mike, hats off to you and your furniture work. Funny story. I went to L.A. once for a University architecture trip in 2000. Last day of the trip some of us went down to Venice Beach and got drunk at this hole in the wall bar where the Doors use to play. We must have had a good time because they kicked us all out at 2AM after last call, and we we're lucky to catch the last Blue Bus back to our hotel in Hollywood. But my friend started making out with this hot Czech foreign exchange student that was a part of our group, and which I was sweet on too. So I got pissed off, and got off the bus at the next stop. Which was a dumbass move, because I ended up walking down Santa Monica Blvd from the beach, all the way to West Hollywood. No joke. I was so drunk, I wasn't even scared. And by the time I got to the hotel it was daylight and I had to scramble to catch my flight out of LAX. So....the moral of the story is for all young people...... Don't walk down Santa Monica in the middle of the night drunk. Don't chase after foreign exchange students, and don't get on a plane with an extreme hangover. That all can be dangerous. 🤔
WonderHussy, on your drive up to Northern California, take a detour from I-5 or HWY-101 to Parkfield California. Parkfield is in Southeastern Monterey County. Parkfield has the distinction of being the Earthquake Capital of the World. You may very well meet scientists, locals, cattle ranchers, fellow tourists and college students and professors doing field research. Parkfield, has a local population of 18. You will see more people due to the constant earthquake research that brings scientists from all over the world. I think you will have fun taking a detour through Parkfield California. I hope you get to read my comment. I look forward to viewing your next video release and adventure. Take care.

My wife always complains about restaurant food, drives me nuts.
Good to see Mike again. Is there anything he hasn't done? TY Wonderhussy.
mike has a sirius bicycle colecttion . looks like a nyc apartment . only with better weather . the bicycles have a reason in a place like that city where parking when you wanna just go out for some air . you just grab a bicycle out the colection a ride to see the weir people there . even ride to the beach . and not worry about parking and getting robbed . just keep a eye on your bike .
So......I just watched the "Spanky Spanky" video. I am pretty speechless lol!
Hey girl, That was a great video. There was definitely magic in it! Mike is very nice!
I'm a huge fan of yours! I love watching your videos! I'm in Orange County, next to LA. So glad to know that you were so close! ❤🙌

Thank you so much bringing Mike Z into my life. I cant begin to tell how wonderful of a Man he is. A delight yum. Hope to met you soon and show off my magnificent table. Please you and your sister come by for brunch. I would be thrilled.
It was a bit challenging to show you that table saw pushing stick. LOL
that's so nice you are a part of Hollywood now~
That was a cool episode.
Try hiking to the Hollywood sign at night. Supposedly there's a ghost that haunts the sign & supposedly holly hasn't been able to grow on that tuffet
Take care.
I hear that the Parkfield Inn has some great food for visitors.
