3400G was a miracle processor and 5600G carries that mantel. Imagine 5600G performing better than GT 1030. Over here, the 5600G is still much higher priced than 3400G a couple of years ago. But 5600G has 6 Core and that gives a huge improvement in performance. Also, you can pair any of the latest GPU in the future and game without much bottleneck. 3400G would be a bottleneck for any GPU above GTX 1660. It actually bottlenecks GTX 1650 Super in our tests.

Yes 3400G supports DDR4 3200. We have sold 100s of units in the past few years. Not anymore. But all of those were b450 boards. And always DDR 4 3200 Dual sticks
it is old stock on store.. because 3400G now discontinued..of course 5600G worth it to buy than 3400g now.. although me as a 3400G user now.. 3400G still fine to play a a sport game category or casual game
Last year 3400G price shot up and reached almost double its orginal price. I sell pre-builds and 3400G was a model that i sold normally. Now i still 5600G and due to the extra cpu cores the game play is smoother than 3400G.
As you can see, 3400G is still great. The last unit of our 3400G was sold a month ago. We test all the systems on fortnite and warzone. It was doing perfectly alright on 1080p. The 3400G performance improved with the bios and Driver update.

But yeah, I bought a 5600g for 425 Canadian Dollards for a 2nd productive PC, as my other pc is an i7 4770 with gtx 1050 ti for 5 years, which I still liked it but I don't play as much nowadays.
If you can't do a cpu + gpu upgrade you can atleast add a gtx 1660 super. Anything bigger than that will not be effective due to cpu bottleneck. Otherwise go for 5600 + rtx 3060 if you psu has atleast 450 watts with 8pin pcie power connector
if you're looking to upgrade, don't swap your 3400G for 5600G, the performance gain is around 25%, if you save up 200 euros you can even get a GTX 1650 that will run these games much better. As an example, above GTA runs at 80fps with the 5600G, with the cpu + gpu combo you'll be able to run it at around 140fps on 1080p high settings.

5600G + 16GB (2 x 8GB) is good for gaming. A320 (Require BIOS update) or A520 is better.
