How to stop Gibson style tailpieces from tilting

TILT!! How do you remove the slop that causes some Gibson style tailpieces and wraparound bridges to tilt? It looks like crap, and it drives a lot of folks nuts - thank you OCD. You could replace the bridge, but if you want to keep the instrument original, here's an easy hack that takes care of the problem.

A more elegant version is to exchange the stats by models in which the upper part is a screw so that the distance can be tuned so let the bridge is perfectly fixed.
Such a model also makes it simpler to exchange individual strings, as you can simply lift the bridge to the top.
