You should do a PB recap video! I’d love to see what your PB is up to this point in a few species like LMB, smallie, Striper, a few species of trout and maybe like a peacock or arapaima. It also would be cool for you to go back and watch in 10 years and remake it
I think his PB largemouth is 14 lbs!!!
What’s up Jon! I was born and raised in San Marcos and Ive spent so many years swimming, tubing, and fishing that river. It makes me happy seeing people have a great first experience at that river. Been a sub for many years! Keep up the great vids 👍🏼
LETSGOOOOO!!!! All Jon B OGs hit the like button!!!!
you can tell Jon B genuinely just loves to fish. 🎣
He’s been fishing since he’s a child and just never stopped and you can sense it in his love for the sport.
he got the classic outro of any outdoor channel. KFNS, love it!
The passion he has for fishing is still the same he had as a kid and never changed. That's the greatest thing about it
1:33 Love to see the bait in the video. Would love to make you a custom one. Whatever u want let me know.
Next time you're in CenTex, you gotta fish the Colorado River east of Austin. Not the easiest access most of the time, but go to either Big or Little Webberville Park. That river has some of the best bass fishing I've ever experienced, and we have even caught hybrid stripers in there
Man… what a crazy year it’s been so far. Family’s health, my wife’s dad not doing good and also my wife’s sister’s husband passing away.. if it wasn’t for fishing content like this ( because Maryland weather won’t let me fish yet ) I don’t know what I’d do when I have a chance to take a breath and “relax”. Thank you @jonB for content like this.
Started watching your channel 5-6 years ago and would fish these spots everyday! Small world watching you fish them too!
And yet again an other banger by going back to your roots! I'm sure it is SAFE to say all of us who have watched this and those who will watch this LOVED THIS VIDEO, Thank you for sharing this awesome experience. 🙏💪🎣
Walking the bank fishing video's are tenfold better than fishing from the boat in my opinion. We need more of it!
That and kayak fishing is what I have on my channel definitely nothing like the goat Jon B, nonetheless you are more than welcome to take a look, brotha.
I agree ☝️. Some of us dont have a boat 😆
Just not fun watching FFS fishing
love everyone o fis kayak videos, especially the devils river and guadeloupe river series@@sicariofishing
@@Job0121 yeah, I've watched that one twice. this guy is stupid LEGIT
Go Bobcats! Next time you hit the San Marcos I'd suggest doing so by kayak. Id also suggest exploring the San Marcos a bit further from the headwaters. Some absolute tanks live out there.
This is my childhood thank you for starting this series so long ago.
Dfw native been urban fishing here for 30+ years ever since I was a kid. Rock bass are definitely in all of our creeks but more common in smaller clear water type creeks. In fact the skinnier the water(and clear) the better chance of them being there. Fun video and hit me up if you need a guide to some of the unknown spots around here! 👊
Incredible dude. I love all your mini series like this. It's crazy to me that networks haven't reached out to you for a show. Keep on keeping on fellas. ✌️❤😊
Pulled a 8 pounder out of the 3rd area in the video.
San Marcos River is s grinder for sure, very heavily pressured.
Great stuff bud!
Now I know 😂thanks 👍
Fishing the saint johns this week because of your casting concrete! Thank you for your inspiration
Beautiful and peaceful video loved it glad you got a rock bass, fish are a beauty
Caleb with the creative shots 👍
Bang bang
Dude San Marcos River is incredible. I loved fishing those waters. Lived there for sometime and went everywhere. Where you start the video is a few meters down from a natural spring. The water is always 72 degrees I believe. There are plenty of areas to explore! Def worth another visit!
Great video. Bank fishing ftw. Awesome music peppered in the editing
Love the San Marcos. Some monsters to be found in it also. Live only 10 mins from the headwaters.
You have inspired me to do more fishing and over the two years watching your channel I’ve caught so many different species your The best John
Try out canyon lake, close by but its better with a boat. Or landa park in new Braunfels, right next to san marcos.
From the area🤙🏼went fishing today in NB, caught a lmb, catfish and longnose gar😨using minnows tho🥲
Love Rock Bass. Such aggressive little fish. All over Southern Ontario. Crazy to see you get one. 🙌
Love the quality of the videos almost like a movie
You should’ve went and fished the San Marcos river in martindale where it’s more rural. It’s even more beautiful looks like a mountain stream in Colorado
A bit further south, in New Braunfels, there's a place called Landa Park and it's fed by a spring with an even clearer stretch of water. Beautiful spot!
Great vlog so simple and so good I really enjoyed the underwater shots keep up the great work
2:45 I am southern and I have heard of rock bass we like to call em goggle eyes and sometimes they are called Ozark bass
Jon B still puttin out banger vids. That Stache is epic. 🤣
I go to txst and fishing the river is super tough, i grew up wading and catching those rock bass on tiny worms.
I never noticed how perfect your voice is for voiceovers😂
I absolutely love these creek videos!!!
I know I've said it before, but watching you fish makes me miss being back in Michigan. Fishing in Alberta is alright, but nothing like there, lol. So thanks, Jon, for taking me back home, kind of lol
i catch rock bass frequently! i live in arlington tx
Fishing 🎣 in my backyard. Theres also Guadalupe bass in there they some feisty fish!! Them rock bass are so fun to catch always a good fight.
The quality of your videos are always getting better, loving the videos keep it up🔥🔥🔥🔥😘
Thank you both 😂really beautiful area Fishing is the best way to relax
I catch rock bass at medina river all the time in San Antonio area and im not far from san marcos so i think they are native.
You can catch rock bass in all the mountain rivers and creeks here in Arkansas. There’s even a subspecies called Ozark Bass.
literally just got off the san mo after getting skunked and the first thing I see is Jon catching bass in the same holes I was at😭
Jon B you need to fish the Guadalupe River south of Canyon Lake. You can catch nice size trout.
Wow Jon! Did drone shots are absolutely stunning!! Thank you for another video!!
thanks Caleb !
fish those spots all the time! there are some giants swimming around there but stupid hard to get an eat out of them
It’s crazy to see this from you. I fish there a lot and you happen to catch more than I do. Love it!
So sick Jon B! I used to live two blocks from Rio vista park. Night time topwaters will get you bit. Those fish are smart, they’ll even ignore finesse baits all day.
I love fishing the San marcos River. You should hit up landa park and the comal river in New Braunfels next.
Good to see my best friends glide in a Jon b video.
Jon B i have been watching you for about five years now. I am coming down to Arlington from the Midwest in April. I have a TH-cam channel inspired by you and i was wondering if we could meet up or possible go fishing the first week of April some time. Thank you for your great videos day in and day out
1,0000/10 video. Crazy to see how far your channel has come. I remember watching videos when you would clown Peric for having that gf when he was at bama…. Congrats on the evolution of your skills and channel. Well deserved
Man you hit all my classic spots!!! It would of been so sick to run into you out there. Regardless, tight lines and thanks for showing everyone our special fishery down here!
Fr I was literally was there the other day
Working out and watching the Jon B video drop 💪🏻 good combo for me
Check out Lake Dunlap, and Canyons lake.
San Marcus is tough fishing
My boy lookin like AP! 😂 Love it!
If you go to Dunlap do not go to I35 bridge, go to Schumanns Beach rd boat ramp, also hudge trout below Canyon lake dam on the Guadalupe river,
Your videos have greatly improved! Holy smokes bro! Great job! Oh and I live in McHenry county Illinois. I believe it’s not to far from where you’re from! Tight lines brother!
Gotta use that handkrafted swimbait more!!! Those baits unbeatable.
It’s an honor
I’ve pulled monster rock bass from secluded rock quarry with 0 running water which through mind into a loop, considering they hunt in moving water.
I’m from Arkansas and I fish a place called Sylamore creek it’s got rock bass in it.
Havent watched a Jon B video since covid....LOVE the stache
That’s right by my town Jon I live in New Braunfels
Been watching since I was a kid crazy now still watching as an adult
I have a picture at Lana park in a rigged shirt as a kid
always love the videos! i live in ga down south, we actually do have rock bass in our rivers!
We got rock bass here in Tennessee
Yes sir and Alabama Georgia Mississippi and Arkansas
Home Town! San Marcos is definitely pressured tons of people float that river too
Growing up in Leander, TX, we spent a lot of our summers going to Aquarena Springs in San Marcos. From the glass bottom boats were you could see the bottom like you were diving. From the swimming pig show and the mermaids show in the underwater theater. It always brings back great memories. I was sad when they shut it down in 1996.
W vid Jon! 🤟🏻
What an amazing video, you set the bar very high !
You gotta wait till spring in San Marcos they get on beds and you can sight fish all the time
Your intro voice sounds like Mike rowe from dirty jobs ahah
Jon B the greatest man love you’re content
Super cool perspective of a place I would spend many hours at while skipping all my college classes 😂
In austin they have a stream thats super cold year round and rainbow trout are in there
Only reason I truly fish. Much love brother
Beaver lake in Arkansas has rock bass
This is the kind of river if you brought your kayak you would really smash the fishing 👌🏼
Jbarz with a mustache is absolutely wild
he looking deviant though, lololol, jmo
I hate the stache on everyone else, but on Jon B.... it just fits 🤣😍
Missed these kinda videos
Great river to float & fish
Get this man a tv show!
I have 6+ foot long vallisneria in my aquarium, but seeing it like that has got to be whole other level
Rockies are my all time favorite "panfish". Amazing camouflage, very aggressive, and fast.
i was there like 3 days ago but hit New Braunfels it’s 15 mins away an it has a park named landa park has 1-12 lb bass with the clearest water an it stays 72 year around
Great video Jon!!!!
Went to college at Texas State in San Marcos! Awesome place, beautiful river!
Awsome video man, keep up the work
I haven't watched the channel in awhile and my goodness that moustache is a surprise. I thought it was Peric in disguise
I’m up north def grew up catching tons of rock bass 😅 never ate one tho might give it a try
we have rock bass in west virginia and idk why but they get big and i mean big, at my local lake they get so big they challenge the smallmouth for food
This gives me bob ross but Jon B version. Was just waiting on a “happy little bass” comment
Nice video. The entire TN river watershed, which spans several southern states, is full of rock bass.
Jon b I live here in San Marcos u should of kayak down the river u can catch smallmouth on the San Marcos also
Love catching rock bass here in NY got a solid 1lb first fish in a kayak
I’m going there this Saturday !!!!
Love the mustache Jon b. Let's go 😂
Love the content thanks!
I loved this episode!
Was stationed at fort hood in early 90s. Try fishing " LAKE BELTON " caught my biggest bass ever from thatlake but not a bass fisherman at the time. , mad respect from Milo Maine
Love your channel
Is there a creature bait on your lip?😂😂
If you don’t have one your should get a polarized camera lens it would make for some great shots and we could see the fish you see
