Zach, you are dangerous, who would have thought, man I rode this train to school everyday. it was much easier than going west to webster ave to catch to old slow 41Bus to gun hill to catch the #2 Train. you bought back a lot of memories man. Thx and Peace.
I remember riding this line from Fordham Rd to Arthur Ave in the late 60s. Still had much older cars than these R-12s. See the movie "Enter Laughing" (1967) to see Reni Santoni riding one of these vintage cars. In the 1970s, the R-12s were painted silver with dark blue stripes. Rode them out of Van Cortlandt Park on the One train. Made by St. Louis Car.
Very Cool my Dad remembers when they would switch trains out of the Lower Level of Gun Hill Road and when they tore it down in 1973. I was wondering if MTH ever had a Set of the Brooklyn union El Cars that would be Cool too. In 1950 South Ferry Station was closed down and the El Terminated at Canal Street with the City Hall Spur being closed in 1951 .
Zack, I'm guessing that you're a heavy collector of the MTH subways. I bought a red R-26 IRT #2 set last year and had all kinds of problems regarding the trucks binding and overall, the train not rolling very well. Have you seen this on other MTH subways, or did I manage to get a lemon, keeping in mind I got my two car set from Trainworld and my four car set from Ready To Roll in Miami? And how will this bode for my R-33 set that I'll be getting in August, or whenever it actually comes out?
Great layout. Zach maybe you can help me out. I purchased MTH r21 subway set. I’m trying to find sound board with the stop announcements on it . Would you know where I could find it.(I have the north bound #3 ).
if i had a layout, i wouldn't want anyone touching my subways either!!!! my sign would read, "DO NOT TOUCH ERIK'S TRAINS OR U R DED-MEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unless i am there!!!!"
+pbatommy One block north of 155th St. Now that that's out of the way, 3rd Avenue continues north from Manhattan into The Bronx at the Harlem River and approximately E 130th St. But I'm guessing in the year since you posted, you've looked at a map and I'm telling you something you already know. If not, there's your answer.
l remember riding the shuttle as a kid the old number 8 line

Love those subway trains.
Thanks! Sure, when I get the time, Ill make a new video of the 142As on the outer Freight loop.
I didn't like this model till I decided to paint it. Weather it and detail it. It looked pretty cool afterwords
remember the polo grounds shuttle l played there after it was shut down and walked the tunnels before it was sealed up late 50/60s
I kinda like this set alot! I have the white and the two tone grey one. So I'm overstuffed with R12s.
I like the Red R12 and work train ones the best

Why do your tracks have the middle rail like the London Underground? The subway does not have that
Because 0-Gauge 3-rail is built with a middle 3rd rail
yes
were you purchased
it has to be one or the other?
