Hi. I very much enjoyed this video. I'm self-taught so I can't read patterns but I try. I'm glad you made this video though because I'm a visual learner 1st. Thank you for sharing.
Another fab video. this is on my to do list. My daughter in laws are going to love these. Thank you for all the added information, I have been crocheting, (self taught just like you) for over 20 yrs and learning so much from you regarding the choices we make buying our wool. Also learnt a new stitch with the camel stitch from your other video. Thank you xx

I love this pattern. Have made several in the past couple of days. My first beanie is a smaller size compared to my last one I finished. I was making my puff stitches way to tight. So (when working the brim), 1 regular sc {in both loops of the stitch}, then work 7 blsc, then end the row with another regular sc {in both loops of the stitch}. ☺️ Trust me, and you’re welcome.

This is so awesome - crochet was never my fav (knitting) but since last week the tv stuff got to me and I needed something more productive - so have actually crocheted 3 beanies already. Now I hope to do YOUR beanie - as a gift to friend in Melbourne Australia. Thank you SO much for being a great teacher and for sharing your creativity. You're a gem!
Oh gosh you are very kind thank you for your comment!
A great pattern, thank you so much for making this free for all! I’ve made several for family for this Christmas season and they’re such fun to make! So glad I found your channel! Great, detailed instructions, I love that you show us step-by-step. I’m a visual learner for sure and this helped heaps 😊 You mentioned you’d be making a video to show us how to do the closed version of this beanie but I can’t seem to find it on your channel, I’d love to see that video one of these days. Keep up the great content and work!
Hi Sarah I'm so glad you like the pattern. I haven't released a video showing you how to close but they are step-by-step photos in the blog post that goes with this video. There's also lots of closed versions of different baby sizes here on my channel that might be helpful. www.acraftyconcept.com/free-crochet-messy-bun-beanie-pattern/
@@ACraftyConcept Oh that is great to know, thanks so much for your reply! Thank you for the suggestions, I will definitely check them out! I always look forward to any future videos and content you make for us :)
Thank you very much! I love how you showed how to sew the ends in as well. Most tutorials don’t do that and I wish they would. I can’t wait to make this beanie!

thank you for this video, so much easier for me to follow than the written patterns, I was wondering if you have a video for the closed beanie?
I never filmed that one but a lot of folks have been asking for it recently. I will try to get that on the todo list!
Theres written instructions at www.acraftyconcept.com/free-crochet-messy-bun-beanie-pattern/ and there are videos here for like 5 baby sizes that might be helpful to show you what to expect.
