I think I’ve heard of DiJulius before, but first time seeing a video featuring him coaching “in action.” Seems like an amazing guy-and what a sense of humor. But man, what he said about “the dark place” and being honest enough with yourself to acknowledge and accept having a really rough time-SO GOOD. So very many people go through so much, and nobody’s ever given them the simple truth that it’s normal, fine, even *healthy* to let yourself feel all that’s weighing on you instead of putting on a plastic smile and pretending ‘it’s all good.’ I wonder if in some ways wrestling can be a sort of “physical release” AND at times an emotional one too. … Sorry if I’m being too philosophical…!
