I love that they really focused on developing just a few characters really well, instead of overcrowding the cast like so.many previous films did. Gone are the overdrawn scenes of Japanese bureaucracy and idle response. Instead we have a deeply rooted and poignant story of a small family and friends, colliding with the very real horror of war and it's wake, colliding with the unimaginable terror of Godzilla... It's honestly a masterclass in what this genre of Kaiju film, quirky and camp as it is, can really mean to a global audience.
To add to this we Godzilla Minus 1 it and it was our favorite Godzilla movie of any that have come out in the 2000's on. It was very well made and made you emotional. Loved it.
@@EuclidGamer I get choked up all the time in movies because I'm a giant pushover, but Alex texting me about "manly tears" after he watched Minus One was a pleasant surprise :P
Well remember Tachibana was never for honerable death, he was the first to come to Shikishima and tell him he agrees of his desertion, he is angry at him because he cowarded out when he had the chance to kill godzilla, resulting in all of his men dying.
@@saifis the facial structure is different. It's more rounded than Tachibana's angular face. Someone thought that it was the guy who tried to lure Godzilla to the plane, but I can't say for sure.
Are British films "foreign films"? Just try to figure out what a character with a heavy accent is saying without Closed Captioning.;) (I had to turn on CC to understand what was going on in "Tenet"!)

Juicy new near 30 minute episode? Beautiful way to help me get though a droning day at work.

@@culturedoom it's just that I feel like hardly any movies that get created anymore we'll try to just create a good story like Godzilla minus one.
Americans trying to figure out if Britain is America. Well done guys. Well done.

It actually took 3 times watching it in theaters to realize that it wasn't Tachibana who agreed with him, but an unnamed mechanic.
@@bryanmyers5620 you made me look and... I can't tell, I was looking at facial hair and voice but.... who'd you decern it wasn't Tachibana?
