I never tire of watching this movie. Jonathan and Anne were perfect as Gilbert and Anne. This scene cracks me up every time. And after it’s all said and done: “Will you still come with me to Fred’s clam bake next Tuesday?” 🤣 I love them both!!!
Thank you, my thoughts exactly!! Men got away with those sorts of things way too often back then, and it infuriates me! 😖 They acted like it was their place to "discipline" the women in a most disrespectful way, instead of recognizing that these women were grown adults with valid opinions and feelings.
@@reikasamaendsupwithshousuk2889 Neither men or women should be hitting the other, but a woman pushing a man is different from a man pushing or hitting a woman; he has more upper body strength and more potential to do damage that she can't fend off. Neither should be hitting, but if "don't hit women" isn't something a male understands by the age of 12 or so, it would be hard to explain, and women should probably avoid him.
@@emilerose1424 i hate they decide to include that if it wasnt in the books. Horrible. I feel like the actor was trying to make up for it. Im glad the character isnt violent tho but it is uncharacteristic for him 2 do that.

My favorite scene!
@@Louisa_pianist yea Gilbert Blythe would never..... Ever..... Hit a girl. He would never.
He pulled her hair when they were younger. I think it fits. He does the most to get her attention
Megan is so pretty.
He did NOT just hit her in the butt 👋🏾
Can you upload the scene where they’re talking in the carriage from the first movie please

It was only teasing. He's in love.
Believe these 2 got married💍
they did
After she admitted that he was right all along :)
Anne can’t take criticism and that’s poor writer attitude.
