Dividend for retail investors is taxed, but can take so much money from RBI and PSU banks without doing any provision of that money to the tax payers, how unfair is it? Instead RBI should increase the Government FD rates for senior citizens and encourage atleast conservative investors to save their last penny for safe retirement. Govt encouraging senior citizens to invest in equity market is a very dangerous job. Government should increase the PPF interest rate and make NPS investment and withdrawal post age 60 complete tax free from long term gains tax
