  • I woke up on an unusually warm morning in March and decided to revisit a spot near Union Station where I knew the light would be ideal. Watch until the end to see the "Metal" version of the intro. I really like it, but doesn't quite flow with the tone of my videos. But if you know me, you know I had to try it out.

Nice to see fellow Denver street photogs. I didn't realize how many of you guys have TH-cam channels.

Thanks Rolfs! I have been so busy with work and life in general, I just haven't had a chance to video much. I'll try to get out some time soon. Appreciate the follow!

Great stuff. I love the layers and textures you got through the dirty glass. That was unexpected. You have a good eye for that.

Normally, I am not a big fan of talking on the video style of POVs, but I really like this one a lot. There are very nice shots and it is great to see more X-T2 users still :D

Thank you, appreciate that! Yes, the x-T2 is still my go to, can't find a good reason to upgrade.

@@jefftidwellphotography Totally agree. For photography purposes, it is hard to justify to upgrade X-T2

Nice effort. Your favorite photo at the train station(?) from your last shoot is great.
Thanks for sharing. I might be in Denver in a week or so. I live in my van. I also shoot Fuji xt2.

This is a great POV video. Because you constantly tell about your choices, the technique, the circumstances at the place - it makes it a more interesting POV video. Also nice shots. I am looking forward to your next video.

Thanks Daniel! Really appreciate the feedback. I am really hoping the videos answer questions I had when I started shooting and inspire others to get out and shoot more.

Generally, I don't like gopro video because too many people use the wrong ratio of video to stills, lots of walking around and no payoff. You did very good in that you showed the actual image with good size and clarity as well as a nice duration so that we can see the reward for your effort. Very nice.
Also, good karma for you, leaving the 3 bucks for someone that might really need it.

loved that last one! i'm a really anxious guy so even though i love street photography, i always tend to be afraid of taking shots and have people getting mad at me, i was already nervous while watching you wait to take a shot because i thought she was going to be mad but she just laughed, your videos are helping me rewire my brain lmao

Thank you Marcos! I do occasionally get an upset person, but for the most part I get smiles. If I do run into someone that is unhappy, I have a small book of my photos and show them what I do with the photos. They usually want me to take a portrait afterwards. If they are still unhappy, I simply delete the photo and appologize for upsetting them and wish them a better day. I have been doing this for over 10 years and have had maybe 8-10 super angry people. Hope that helps.

Thanks Eddie! It is definitely different than late evening. Biggest challenge is people being out that early when its colder.

Great video. Truly enjoyed it and your patience really paid off with the silhouette against the train backdrop. Absolutely loved the last bit with the woman sipping her drink and laughing when she saw you grab the second image. Really made me chuckle 😂

Not a fan of POV, but this is an excellent video. It boils down to being in the place you want to shoot during the best light of the day, and being patient enough to wait for the right moments. Great photographs, man!

what a beautiful black and white! Do you use any specific presets? I would like my bw photos with that tone

    • @jefftidwellphotography
      @jefftidwellphotography  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Thank you Herick! I use a custom film recipe on my FujiFilm X-T2 - Acros with a red filter, plus a few tweaks on the highlights, shadows.
