Yeah was insane! We had a particularly calm period of weather - we suspect the rockpool was connected to the ocean via a cave, or the crays had walked in at high tide, to eat the mussels. The rocks in the sea over there get hit by too many waves to grow mussels, so the rockpools are the only place!
Many years ago my grandfather used to put a piece of wallaby at the edge of the rock pools and the crays would walk out onto the meat and he would catch whatever he wanted 👍

Yep it's crazy when you see them in areas like this, but back then it was completely normal all over the state!
