The Mitch Hedburg joke earned you a subscriber.
Watched the whole video while taking a #2
Me too. 😂
Eat some fiber
Saaaaame
I call it the think tank 😂
You might have benifited from the first project...
As a not beginner but not experienced woodworker myself, I love seeing you run into the same roadblocks
Please more of these types of videos. Great ideas, and help give me, as a beginner, to help justify my tool investment to my significant other :)
You got it!
I’m definitely keen for more of these type of videos
I came here for woodworking and stayed for premium quality kiln-dried humor!
Wow spline trick without the jig is awesome!!!
Love it. As per usual, you deliver extra value in your video. Good pacing, good humour, good tips, down-to-earth, useful advice. Honestly, great work.
A quality video of a type I wish more people would do. Beginner and intermediate woodworkers have been left in the dust by an overwhelming sense that we don't watch videos. The guys that used to do them are oo busy selling the 5 new tools I didn't know (or care) about. So, thank you for doing this video.
Thanks for watching Corey. These are definitely A TON more work and less profitable, but I think they are really important to keep making
That miter saw is the most beautiful thing i've ever seeen.
I loved the Hedberg ref.
"White New Balance shoes and white T-shirt tucked into your jeans" LMAO!!!
Great video! As a not beginner but not experienced woodworker myself, I love seeing you run into the same roadblocks I do throughout a project. i.e. cutting into the workbench, waffleing on design choices, and having friends that are bad at math. Keep up the great content!
Nothing like a good waffle
@@Lincolnstww Maybe it needs Syrup? or Maple?
@@user-zq6pj5jo8jor maple syrup?
I also like how you show your mistakes and joke about them 😂😂.
Great that you incorporate all the pitfalls that are not just rookie mistakes, but are even ones a skilled person might make in a last-minute rush! Sometimes these little things can be discouraging setbacks, much nicer to avoid them!
Projects sure are getting complicated out there. Thanks for bringing the fun and simplicity back into woodworking.
Thanks for leaving these in!
Okay, I saved these project vids for future use. I got a kick out your trick to lube the screws. My grandfather taught me that when I was very young and he was "helping" us build build a fence. Thanks for the (another) great video.
Hedberg reference, subscribed. Keep up the great videos man! I'm only 2 years in and these are some great ideas!
If I can get through a single woodworking session without a a single “idiot” then I’m having a good day. Thanks for leaving these in!
The Mitch Hedberge joke was elite.
A Mitch Hedberg joke/reference in 2023? Respect! Great set of ideas for made gifts.
Mitch Hedberg!!! Miss that guy. That was an excellent Mitch Hedberg joke. Well done.
I love that key holder thing. It is so cool and looks fancy. I don't have different types of wood, but I am sure I can stain and paint to create the contrast! People be getting these!
That shelf at the end is absolutely dope. I might have to try that with a bunch of my scraps as well. Spray finishes also make it so much easier.
Didn't know where the last project was going, but liked where it ended up. Thank you for the idea
I think this is the first of your videos I've seen, and after the first couple of projects, I started to become a fan, then the Mitch Hedberg reference sealed the deal!
The shelf was a great way to help with your Scrap Solution, not problem.
I liked the third project. The magnets really made it work for me.
That shelf was GORGEOUS! Dang. Now I want one.
That spline method with the table saw blew my mind
Loved this video and truly believe the woodworker TH-cam-space need a lot more of these types of builds.
Not only is it accessible to the viewer but even if they don't end up making the exact same thing, it servers as great inspiration.
10/10 👏🙏❤️
Yassssss please make more of these videos! I’m a beginner (at 61) and you make me believe!❤
Love that shelf build, def gonna give that a go. More builds like these would be great to see!
I am standing on a yoga matt doing squatties😂 also love the spline trick I will use that!
This was great! Thanks for all the tips and encouragement to just get out in the shop and try something new. More videos like this would be awesome.
Dibs on the squatty potty! I’ve been using a log I found outside that I call the Dump Stump. Now we have a pet house mouse.
magna dumps
😂 also how I play on Sundays
Always informative, always entertaining! One tip I really needed was the “disposable plastic spoon as epoxy applicator,” so many thanks for that.
More, please.
That last one was worth the wait.
Go Tigers!
Sorry I was late. Was out of town picking up puppies. Thanks for taking the time to make this and share it with us. Good work as always!
Your videos are always so enjoyable to watch. I always learn something new and your dad jokes and general humor keep me smiling and entertained.
Yes keep the one day builds coming. It’s really inspiring and just the nudge to get me woodworking again.
I cut oak in circles, but I rough cut and then use a MDF pattern and pattern bit on the router to get them perfect.
As a beginner wood worker please do more of these kind of videos, definitely enjoyed them
Where did you get the folding clamp panel rack?? That looks awesome!
I want to know too!
Tried to find anything about it. Jorgenson clamps but can't find anything that exists. Homemade diy? Or prorotype???
Woodpeckers Xpander.
@@Ashitaka1110 I'd been watching comments waiting for someone to answer, and I'm so glad you did. I also almost commented the first day that it's probably some crazy contraption Izzy came up with and...what do you know, it is!
+1 would love to know how you made that thing!
I just love watching your videos. Inspires me…until I get in the shop. Then it all goes to hell in a hand basket. Lol you make it look and sound so simple. I love love this shelf.
That last shelf...🎉
My grandfather taught me to keep a basic bar of soap handy when assembling. Drag a screw tip across the soap and it slides right into the workpiece.
Jon. I have been watching since your first video. This one was incredible. Love the quick first time builds ideas. Also the shelf and key hanger was brilliant and a great design. Looking forward to trying out my own!
Three great gifts. Thanks Jon! Great teaching moment too!
The last project was great!! I mean, they were all great but the surprise of the last project really got me. thanks!
Kudos for the Mitch Hedberg reference!! RIP funny man
Love seeing project videos every now and then. Thank you.
We've been on a projects roll this year - having a lot of fun with it
Wow that clamp thingy is insane
Love it! As a beginner, TH-cam is the place to go for instruction and ideas, but so much content is intimidating. These were great ideas and I love your delivery. Keep up the great work and Yes, I'd love to see more beginner and intermediate project idea videos 🙂
Love that final piece you completed!
😂 Pretty good impression! Mitch Hedberg was the man! Loved that guy's material.
I like that entry shelf/key holder! All three projects look good, actually.
Organized and pure of heart. ❤
Thank you for cutting into your workbench with the jigsaw! I have done that so many times, when you bogged down, I immediately knew why! But now, I don't feel so bad. :)
Magnetic key holder..I feel like this project has just changed my life in an embarrassingly strange way. Love your work as always.
I love watching Kylo Ren make gifts for Christmas.
As a newbie watching you stick the tape measure in the zero clearance insert on the miter saw for the stop block was genius! Now I gotta build a zero clearance insert...
Ok I absolutely love this three acts as three projects structure 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Great video!
Thanks Sara
Black and gold huh? Saints colors!
Really enjoyed this video. Simple, creative, & encouraging to try new things! Thanks!
I've never seen the tape trick for glue squeezeout. That's brilliant!
That box of scraps! I have 23 totes full of scrap I need to use up.
House numbers serve an important purpose when first responders are trying to locate your house -- at night. Make sure they are illuminated and offer high contrast.
That Mitch Hedberg joke was spot on 😂
Wow, I was looking to do a project with splines and your tip is so helpful!!
seeing the condition of that chisel made me cry...
I used the same epoxy to inset identical magnets into my fireplace mantle top to aid the Christmas stocking holders. 👍🏼
i appreciated the Mitch joke, spot on
I really like the shelf. The pooper stool is pretty cool too.
My word your videos are getting better and better! I love it. Hoping someday to get to this level
Love it! Educational, entertaining and some great ideas! This is a great channel 😁
You had me at Mitch Hedberg
Love this!! I’m making the number sign for my brother’s housewarming gift!! Would love to see more!!
I really like the key holder. I might give it a try.
Damnit. I had my t shirt tucked into my jeans yesterday. But I don’t own white sneakers. At any rate, great beginner projects.
This is my favorite video from you; please do more!
I really like the board for keys! Nice job!
These videos are great! You should have a million subs. And the Mitch Hedberg joke was spot-on.
Much appreciated - love Mitch
This is now my favourite woodworking channel!! And I follow a lot of them😅 I like that you show your mistakes and I ike your personality😊👍👍Keep it up!😃
Great content. More videos like this would be great. Thank you
Fantastic spline cutting tip! I'll be trying that next time
More of those would be great! Thanks
Tge last one was pretty cool. I honestly thought that it was only going to be wall art. Instead of the shelf added, I thought it was going to be hung on the wall with some sort of LED lighting behind it. Thanks for adding ideas
This is the first video of yours I have watched. I loved the projects. Above that, I loved the tips you incorporated in the builds. Because of that you have my subscription to your channel. Thank you for the video.
Great video, I'm a beginner and love your honesty, subscribed.
Great fun vid, mate!
One small thing I'd add about cutting the curves - I always cut mine into 6mm ply first, then use that as a template to route the curve onto the actual workpiece. It's just so much easier to sand the ply to the final shape.
If it needs to look symetrical I'll just make half the curve, then mirror that to create the full template.
It may sound like more steps but it's less work overall - especially if you're making multiples. Plus, if you mess it up, you can just make a new template - you haven't trashed your actual workpiece.
I know this is far from revolutionary and loads of people do it this way. Just thought I'd share it for more beginner woodworkers.
great Tube! much appreciation.
loved the video, wouldn't mind a few more projects like this.
Young man, you are an inspiration!!!
Super enjoyable content. Thanks for making this.
Great video! Thank you for making it truly beginner friendly. I always say, going to the shop to make sawdust and mistakes 🙂
ha ha! I think I'll start using that one. :)
Thanks, please keep building stuff I can afford to try
As a owner of a small manufacturing company in the United States thanks for mentioning made in the USA.
So cool!
Hadn't seen the expanding / self spacing clamps before. Wow, why didn't I think of that?
I love that you include your oopsies. It’s reassuring to know I’m not the only one lol.
