@@lazerpug4416 what has this to do with anything?? They dont get the A side over a current champion because of the fighters history. Ridiculous comment.
this is the thing that pisses me off so much. AJ has had another bite at the cherry after losing- in every fight hes lost, and where he won the rematch he didn't have a 3rd fight... Hes in a privileged position, always has been,
One punch away from knocking dubois out??? What planet is that joker on? He landed a few good shots on dubois yes but dubous was able to plant his feet and ko AJ ... he wouldnt have been able to do this if he was one punch away from being knocked out. The excuse are madennning for AJ and Fury .. facts are Usyk showed the world the truth about these guys and crushed the hype that surrpunds them to anybody with a brain... Usyk! A cruiserweight+
AJ has the worst recovery of any heavyweight. Now that he’s getting older, that’ll only get worse. Fury, Usyk, wilder all can get dazed/flattened and get their legs back. AJ can’t and that’s why once he gets dropped or hit flush, he usually loses.
DuBois exposed Joshua's weaknesses: no head movement, left hand down, panics when hit, unbalanced footwork and lack of basic boxing skills. Joshua needs to retire...
The hands down helps with the attack, punches are harder to see coming from down low, aj relied on footwork and distance for his defense, but it seems ddd had done his homework and knew with a little half step forward with his rear foot, he could close the distant and land bombs. Fair play to ddd team for the gameplan, however, with a little work and different gameplan from aj, a rematch could look completely different, it's small margins at that level.
His legs buckled and he went knumb you could see his eyes roll ? What do you mean he was never in training he was in trouble just from that one punch but he lucked out because Joshua was never in the fight at all .
He can absolutely win a Dubois rematch. But does he deserve a rematch ? No , they gave him an immediate rematch against Ruiz , immediate rematch against Usyk. Like come on now let the division move on more heavyweights can get their shot at undisputed
I get the impression AJ has lost the "fear" which is needed to fight at this level. I hear AJ has done some extreme training in dark rooms, which he mentioned in a press conference last month. It could be that AJ has trained himself out of "fight and flight" mode. AJ appears to be trying to fight too "calm / boxer esque" and lacks aggression. AJ has lost the "raw" fighter edge after Usyk 1 I think. Dubois IS the raw fighter who has that fear and aggression. Well done Dan!
AJ thought he could beat Usyk in the rematch failed miserably why would Dubois even consider giving him a rematch and by the way if he does the result would be the same.❤
Why are they not talking about Dubois? forget about Aj he lost again for one reason, he's not that good and never has been that good, he looks good against the lower opposition and then always gets found out when he steps up a level, make it about Danial and how good he was and stop making excuses for AJ
It was a demolition job by Dubois who showed that he is more skillful, powerful, resilient and hungrier than AJ. Dubios was treated like a wildcard but performed like a true champion 👑
Parker, Povetkin, Ruiz 2. Aj probably has the second best resume at HW, behind only Usyk Fury beat wlad but after that his only notable win is Wilder 2 Dubois beat Aj, but other than that he only had Hirgovic.

Literally only Usky has a better record. Aj has a better resume than Fury, than Dubois, and a much much better resume than Wilder
When Fury wins a fight, the narrative is always "the opponent was a bum". Whenever AJ loses a fight, the narrative is "Oh it's because AJ didn't turn up/didn't look himself". No, it's because he's not good enough and lost to a better opponent! The media and casual fans talk about AJ like he's the best heavyweight in the world when that has never been the case!
People call Dubois a quitter, I've never thought that myself but fair enough. I admire him, win or lose, for taking on anybody that's there. So many fighters scared of losing that '0'.
Im sure he was fighting with a broken eye socket? Billy Joe had the same with canelo. With a injury like that, everything in your body is rightfully telling you to stay down. Could easily have lost his sight. Best evidence of live to fight another day. I agree DD is not a quitter.
Martin O’Neill saying “does it hurt him when he loses now?” That’s a tremendous line. And he’s onto something. It’s like Ruiz 1 all over again, he wanted out of that right that night.
AJ is becoming the Mcgregor of Boxing. “Red Panty Night” for fighters. Just a payday. Based on what we have seen from him, he doesnt deserve a rematch. Entering second is a slight edge especially in a outdoor stadium (nerves /tempreture, nonetheless he tried to take advantage as usual. DD humble in victory. Money talks. AJ was the A side. Ridiculously obviously, with him being the challenger. All the posters were AJ versus Dubois. Even Dubois talking about dethroning the king. Negotiations were clearly run on that basis.
Money. But you’re totally right ethically. Doesn’t deserve it. Idk if he would even want it bc if the same thing happened his legacy completely disappears. Ruiz came into a rematch overweight and for money and AJ just boxed on the outside and stayed safe. He’s gonna find that a lot harder against DDD.
That's a myth. AJ has always struggled against hand speed, it's his kryptonite. Rewatch the Parker fight, every time he got close to AJ the ref got involved and didn't let the action flow because AJ was clearly struggling. DDD didn't just have hand speed, he had a better jab, a chin, similar power, similar strength, more energy and agility. Absolute nightmare for AJ who ran out of ideas in the first round and knew he needed something spectacular and quick because DDD has a gas tank and AJ doesn't.
Wins over Pulev , Wallin , Franklin , Helenius , Ngannou and Ruiz would tell us otherwise that’s 5 years of winning fights so how is he done since the first Ruiz bout ?

It's like you want to take the win away from Dubois without giving him credit. Even the referee of the match favored aj. I understand that AJ is the one paying salaries given his fame but he clearly lost and Dubois deserves to be loved
According to that Lee, getting absolutely battered in a match you’re huge favourite for is a good thing, because he showed “heart”. First boxer I’ve ever known to get pumped by two huge underdogs and still have people saying he should be in with the big boys because of his “heart”, it’s ridiculous
AJ needs to find a concentration span. Davison got his work cut out with this guy. Dubois was great but other fighters have found a way past his early barrages
That was the worst I've seen AJ fight, he looked like he was somewhere else entirely. No head movement, no footwork - he stood like a human punchbag and after watching the presser post fight he looked almost relieved. I hope AJ takes a long break and gives serious thought to calling it a day.
Absolutely I want to see a rematch . Hope they don’t convince AJ otherwise. If he can’t beat Dubois in an immediate rematch, there’s nothing for him in boxing
What you on..death..? Its boxing and there’s rules and referee to protect the fighters. Fury fan boys playing the safety cards 😂 since when you cared about his health

For all the comments about AJ as the challenger having rematch clauses and walking 2nd ect This fight had its terms agreed and contract signed according to Frank Warren before Usyk relinquished the belt and Dubois elevated to champion
Can’t argue that Joshua has been great for British boxing however he has been massively overhyped. He hasn’t beaten anyone that he shouldn’t have beaten performs well against people with 0 punch power and are scared to throw at him😂
There should be no rematch. AJ must EARN his rematch not a signed clause as a challenger. He should have to beat Fury or some other top 5 fighters to EARN a rematch.
I am his diehard fan but I would say AJ does not deserve any rematch because the fight was not close at all. Fans have always turned up for him belt or no belt but he took them for granted. It’s an inglorious end to his career
Daniel was a man possessed, like Mike Tyson at his best, an absolute animal, never saw him like that before. He marched down to the ring roaring and pumped up, steam rising off him like a bull. Bothered by the big 98k main event spotlight? Not one bit. AJ didn't know what he was getting himself into and got absolutely smashed. 🥊🥊

It's possible, but highly unlikely based on Saturdays performance, he clearly can't take Dubios power, and doesnt have the defense to stay out of range of the younger fresher lion. For me this performance showed me what level AJ is really at.
Alot of people was expecting a heavyweight Hagler vs Hearns but what they got was a 21st century version of Forman vs Lyle and it even ended in the same round the 5th but no to a rematch seeing the affect the punches he took with the wobbly legs thats a really bad sign for brain injuries.
Jordan knows f all about boxing. I Took 6 to 1 for Daniel to ko him because i knew he would beat him to the punch.None of AJs last 4 opponents were any threat to him by design 2:12
AJ is what he is and has always been. A phenomenal athlete and dangerous fighter who also has famously slow powers of recovery when rocked. He's usually putting it on opponents but when he does get into the ring with fighters who put it on him, he typically struggles because he can't walk through punches and instead gets stunned. There's no need for this rematch if fans value AJ's health. That attack style DDD brought should get similar results every time.
I have to agree with what Simon said. AJ wasn't right for some reason. I thought something was wrong with AJ as soon as we saw him. Taking nothing away from Dubois though, he did the business well.

This
The hands down helps with the attack, punches are harder to see coming from down low, aj relied on footwork and distance for his defense, but it seems ddd had done his homework and knew with a little half step forward with his rear foot, he could close the distant and land bombs. Fair play to ddd team for the gameplan, however, with a little work and different gameplan from aj, a rematch could look completely different, it's small margins at that level.
Which just leaves a big punch if he’s able to get it off.
But all those other deficiencies you rightly point out, means he’s finished.
And he keeps his righ foot way back, leaning forward at the same time.

Well done Dan!
good analysis
AJ thought he could beat Usyk in the rematch failed miserably why would Dubois even consider giving him a rematch and by the way if he does the result would be the same.❤
Why are they not talking about Dubois? forget about Aj he lost again for one reason, he's not that good and never has been that good, he looks good against the lower opposition and then always gets found out when he steps up a level, make it about Danial and how good he was and stop making excuses for AJ

AJ has been done since that first Ruiz bout.
That's a myth. AJ has always struggled against hand speed, it's his kryptonite.
Just my opinion of course but I have been a boxing fan since the great days of Ali-Frazier.
