    Evening all! Unfortunately, we have had numerous problems with copyright with this upload due to being claimed on by the US Network. You may notice on occasion, the video jumps; this is because we have been forced to remove sections of the vid to appease the copyright gods. Even when cropped, I thought you would enjoy this video, so I am posting it anyway. If it has disappeared from the channel in a couple of days, you will know why! Much love, Ben x
    PS. Have an AWESOME Christmas and stay safe over the holidays!

      A lot of TH-camrs are complaining about the banhammer being wielded more widely and forcefully at the moment.
      What about doing some talks over US police body cam footage like you see on Police Activity? The body cam footage is public domain so shouldn't be any copyright issues.

    • @RomeoMike22
      @RomeoMike22 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are channels out there that upload bodyworn camera footage you can likely avoid the copyright problems by reacting to those videos, I'm not a fan of live pd anyway but thats another story

    All that extra talking they do with the suspects actually helps the prosecution. The more questions they ask, the more the suspect lies or changes up his story, and that's all being recorded on the cop's body-worn camera. So, there actually is a good reason to keep them talking. They always talk themselves into a hole. Lol

    • @walkerlocker6126
      @walkerlocker6126 2 ปีที่แล้ว +22

      And this is why every lawyer on TH-cam says DO NOT talk to the cops, especially if you have indeed committed a crime or suspect they are trying to pin one on you. Ask for an attorney. Sure, the cop might just take you to jail for the night on suspicion but it can save you a bigger headache in the long run

    Ever since the United States Supreme Court ruled that Law Enforcement Officers are allowed to lie to the public and that they are not responsible for the public safety or well being.
    The general publics respect for law enforcement is at an all time low. It's simply common sense. If you know that you can not trust that a particular person, in this case any law enforcement officer, is going to tell you the truth. And may also not be telling you the truth. But also have blanket permission from the highest court in the land to openly and knowingly lie to you. How could you ever from then on rely on that person to tell you the truth? And if you don't trust someone will tell you the truth. Then by definition, YOU CANNOT TRUST THEM!
    So that's where we are as a nation currently.
    And to add insult to injury. With all these TH-camrs out there doing recorded audits of police to find out if those police officers are going to try and violate their civil rights, and or, constitutional rights. And we see that the vast majority of law enforcement offices will willingly use intimidation and bullying tactics to violate the average citizens rights. It just another reason that our nations entire justice system needs to be tossed out and rebuilt.

    Just found your channel and have been loving your content. Most people in the states don't really consider access to knives as a big issue because it's easy to make a makeshift blade out of basically anything. In fact, a lot of people I run into carry knives on them, though only really as tools. Even our high security prisons have stabbings from shivs. That's not to say we don't have our fair share of cutting instrument related crime. In fact, there is more than twice the number of people murdered with cutting tools annually in the U.S than there are with both rifles and shotguns combined (Source: FBI Crime Statistics). Those stats are usually overshadowed in media by rifle shootings, which are considered more sensational. Though most murders in the U.S are done by handguns.

    When you were talking about the PiT manoever (spin them out) and how you can't really control where the vehicle will go, it reminded me of a new device that just came out called the grappler. Two arms come down from the officer's bumper with a net or strap. They get up close to the other vehicle, and it gets tangles around the rear wheel/axel of the suspect vehicle, preventing the wheel from spinning. The net ones release from the officer's vehicle immediately. The strap one then has a 60ft tether attached to the officer's car, so he can help slow them down. (Tho apparently he can detach it if needed) There's a few videos on TH-cam of it being used, especially in Arizona, where it was developed. It's pretty cool.

    He was obviously ex-British police as his approach was totally disorienting for the suspect. He was calm, measured and no physical push and shove. 3rd, Big up Ben and keep up the great videos! one thing i would say is that the US Police is very militarised and it is not something i would like to see in the UK, gear wise I do think we need to have more proper tactical vests etc but have some sort of combination with what we have in the UK i.e Taser position on the vest and not on the belt.

    • @geezerp1982

      actually from what ive seen in the US , MORE UK police are militarised then the US cops; case in point, most police in the US still wear shirts whilst here , most forces now issue all black combat gear

      @@geezerp1982 British police simply wear a stab vest above their clothing. It's not militarised. They have no offensive weapon, American cops have a firearm, the most militarised thing an officer can have.
      The switch to polo shirts in the UK is simply one of practicality, British police simply put disliked their old tunics, and even the white shirt was problematic. A black polo shirt isn't militarised, it's a polo shirt. It's less military than the American Police in a vaguely Combat-fatigue shirt. The only martial part of their kit is the presence of a stab vest (which is a necessity, and American police wear bullet proof vest under their shirt) and vaguely tactical trousers.
      British police cars are effectively civilian vehicles in a very very un-martial, civil paint scheme - it's shared with the paramedics and Fire brigade. American police cars have agressive bumper bars and are styled to look imposing with black and white contrast colouring

      @@calum5975 WRONG ! their vests are rated NIJ level 3a body amour .
      they uniform IS militarised ! all black outfit which is not case in most of the US ! as they still wear shirts and dont have a problem with wearing them even in places like florida - and they still wear ties !
      on the main , most US patrol cops look less militarised then the UK police. Having a handgun strapped to they belt doesnt make them militarised either ! however their SWAT teams are very militarised
      american police cars are also effectivly civlian cars as well ! using the term aggressive for an object such as bull bars is liberal for makes me feel scared bollocks !

      @@geezerp1982 Okay. Keep believing an unarmed police force is less militarized than one that's armed, has thousands of individual SWAT teams with some having literal Armoured Personel Carriers. But sure, wearing black makes them militarized.
      Most UK police cars are small, average compact cars you find most British people driving. Vauxhall Astras, Ford Focuses, with no additional bumper bars and a simple white paint scheme with high vis bars on the doors. In no way can anyone see that as martial.

      There was one episode of a cop camera show we saw a while back, don't remember which one, it wasn't Interceptors though. Anyway, this local cop Keith was forever pulling over a lad for driving without a licence, and one day he saw him drive past, so pulled him over. Keith said "Not you again" or some such thing, and the lad replied "But I'm legit now Keith, I passed my test this morning..!" "Yeah, right" says Keith, "prove it..!" So the lad got out his licence and test pass certificate, he really had just taken his test..! The best bit was when he said to the camera, "You blurred out my face last time I was on your show, don't do it this time..!" 🤣

    One of the things I do need to point out if that you don't have to confess to anything when talking to a police officer. I do not know the rules in the UK, but I do believe it's similar or the same. You don't have to identify yourself unless you were driving or the police suspect you of committing a felony, and lying to the police is illegal.

    Police in the US these days are militarized due to having to respond to active shooter incidents. It used to be that the long gun of choice for a patrol officer is a shotgun. Now it's the AR-15 rifle. However, sometimes militarization of our police forces tend to go too far w/ all those used tactical weapons and gear given to them by the military that's no longer needed in the gulf war. The militarization of police traces back to the drug wars of the 80s and increased even more after 9/11.

      I bought a machete from the local market when I was 14, really not that hard to get really nasty bits of kit. You'd've thought an ex-copper would know that.
      (I wasn't chopping anyone up, just used it whenever I went camping. Cheaper and easier to get hold of at that age than an axe)
