Perhaps Hasbro should present a Haslab every other year (2 years inbetween). Time for Hasbro to take the Preorders, manufacture the item(s) and ship them before the next Haslab starts. Also, Lenny had said in a recent interview that ot is hard to comment on figures that are current because he had long since worked on that figure over a year ago. He said they are over a year ahead of schedule. Which suggests it can take a year or more for a figure to be produced, manufactured and then released. The figures or vehicles we are seeing have been in the pipeline for a long time and we didn't see that. For Haslabs we are seeing it from point 0 to its end.
Oh they for sure over compensate on those release dates. For example, Torch who was scheduled for a September release date now en route or available in some stores already.
So while I totally understand delays in the manufacturing process and would rather wait longer in order to not receive a product with QC issues, I also don't see myself giving Hasbro another $350 for another product, if they haven't even delivered the previous one.

If they don't charge you up front, anyone can preorder even if they don't intend to actually buy. In that case, Hasbro has a huge amount of an expensive specialty project they have to produce with no guarantee that everyone is going to actually pay up in the end. This way, a Haslab simply won't happen as the risk is too high for the company. That's why crowdfunding needs payment up front. Personally, I don't mind the delay, last year the HISS came in December as well in the end. And with the biggest toy company, I don't see any risk, because they are guaranteed to deliver, even with a delay.
Hasbro should require a nonrefundable 50% deposit, then the remainder of payment before shipping. Doing so puts both sides on the hook, not just the customer. When Hasbro makes these Haslabs, they dont just make the exact amount that was backed, they have to produce at least 10% more than what was backed to make up for broken/missing parts or lost shipments.

@@randomposter5665 I don't know, a nonrefundable deposit would complicate the whole thing without any real benefit for us the customers. I mean, look at the HISS, it's such a premium product, which got delayed to December as well, but quality was great. I actually expected a similar delay for the Dragonfly and doubted we would have delivery by Summer. Let them take their time, I wouldn't want to get it a few months earlier but with quality issues. Every year there's folks that didn't back a project willing to pay higher after market prices for these HasLabs. Hasbro wouldn't be struggling to find folks interested in buying it when it was available.
I don’t care that it’s delayed, it’s paid for, it’s coming. We have new reveals, SDCC, Wolverine deadpoo movie coming out. We have a lot of other things to keep us occupied while we wait for a product to be correct, complete and at the highest quality. You have to ask your self do you want it fast or do you want it done right? The real news is when do we get to back the rattler? I’m not going to complain or get frustrated because my toy didn’t come when I wanted it to. We need to put on our big boy pants, relax it’s coming.
The optional brace they added to the landing skiffs on the Dragonfly, from last month’s unboxing didn’t exactly set well with me. Yeah, they said it was strictly optional, but I dunno? Seems odd to me. They’ve obviously hit some kind of snag.
I agree with you on some sort of compensation. I have to caution that HASBRO WOULD HAVE MONEY ON TWO FUNDED PROJECTS FOR FIVE MONTHS WITH NO PRODUCT TO SHOW. As I said on another channel, Does it sound silly to ask that before a project launch is requested to be funded that the earlier project be sent out first? It’s like a perfect storm just waiting to happen. Maybe, just maybe, after the 2024 Haslab launch they should pause and do some serious soul searching about how the product is made and associated logistics. They’ve only been a company that made toys for how many years and still can’t seem to get it all right like Mattel. Seriously.
I'm sure this has something to do with their stakeholders, but it sure feels like even if it's 13-18 months before putting the next HasLab up for order so we get one before the next one is up for pre-order.
I 100% agree with you Jeffrey. But unfortunately this is not a Hasbro problem. This is a fans problem. If we really wanted Hasbro to not do stuff like this then we have to stop buying their products. But as long as we keep supporting them we are sending them a message that we are okay with it no matter how much we complain about it. You cannot complain that your spouse is being very abusive and you don't need them but you won't leave them. I can't take you serious at that point. And even though we complain on the internet all the time. Why would Hasbro take any of us serious. N especially when their products keep selling out.
I saw that coming when they did the unboxing for it and the way they were talking same way they did with the his tank so I didn't back to his tank but I did back this one and once I saw that unboxing and I knew it wasn't it wasn't going to be till December when we get our dragonflies
I saw it coming when they did the unboxing for the dragonfly and said well we're still working out on King stuff like that they said the same thing when they finally unboxed the his tank
Ramen toys, Valaverse, neca, super 7 make you pay up front. It’s not an uncommon practice in this industry. This is the first gijoe HasLab that was delayed. This isn’t a pattern of behavior for gijoe HasLab releases.
Another reason they shouldn't be Haslab projects anymore. They were supposed to be for risky projects, but the Classified vehicles have proven they aren't a risk anymore. A multi-billion dollar corporation does not need interest free loans from its customers, especially when they can't consistently deliver the product on time. They need to give us some extra blast effects or something to make up for the delay.
You do know that Saudi Arabia didn't renew the Petrodollar. Plastic comes from oil. The US dollar is no longer backed by this resource. The money paid for the Dragonfly no longer carries the same weight as it use to. Hasbro either needs to lower the quality of the plastic used, or ask its customers to cover the new cost.
I wish someone would have asked them at SDCC exactly why it was delayed? I do hope since they are delaying it that they will fix Glenda's face sculpt. Actually an extra head scuplt that actually looks like the original render that they showed.
Great video Jeff, you're 100% correct! This is one of the main reasons I refuse to support any Haslab! Yes the vehicles are amazing, but I have yet to see a Haslab arrive on timel!?! But my main reason is I have a hard time believing a BILLION dollar company requires prepayment for tooling!
I wonder if something went wrong in the factory China or Vietnam (wherever it's made). Perhaps the factory swapped out materials Hasbro wanted for cheaper materials.

I mean that's just a basic business practice. Let your client base down, throw them a bone that ultimately doesn't cost you anything and encourages customers to come back and buy something else.
I don’t mind waiting but I don’t think they should take money from people for the “next” HasLab until the Dragnfly is shipped. Just my opinion…..they are getting tons of money “up front” so this is a bit ridiculous
There needs to be a Class Action lawsuit against Hasbro if they broke contract and promised delivery by a certain time. Because at this point, they’re holding your money.
I agree with everything you’ve said… at least throw a bone and give loyal customers a savings code. We all love there product. The economy sucks cut us a break.
That would be an easy win for Hasbro. It nudges existing customers to buy something else and if they don't have Pulse Premium they get shipping costs added on too.
Again. I agree. I just got my hiss at a a small show and want to buy the hams and fire but, homie. The next haslab is about to start funding and I really want once a man and enforcer. God knows what else they may reveal. I’m whining. Still excited, though
I didn't back the dragonfly, since I had multiple, less expensive helicopter options 6-inch figs could fit in, but I did back 2 H.I.S.S. tanks; nonetheless... 8:15 ...and then them turn down the opportunity to make interest off of the millions they received in advance??!!?? Nahh, that's not gonna happen.
I'm betting that there is an issue with it that they didn't disclose during that Yo Joe June broadcast, and they don't want that to be known before they show us the next G.I. Joe Haslab at SDCC. That or they blew through the money that they got from us to make the toy, and now they need the money from the next three Haslabs to finish production on what we paid for.
@@LylesFigureFiles Exactly! And we get nothing while we have to wait. Any other business would give you something for them not holding up on their end.

@@tacticalcrusader3709 There is absolutely no reason for a multi-billion company to have 0 risk in this process. If you need to gauge demand you take non-refundable or refundable with penalty down payments. Afterwards you go into production. Once the item is ready to ship you charge the outstanding balance to the customer. If they cannot collect 100% of pre-orders, obviously that is already calculated into the equation against the true cost of production and potential profit margines. With such a large window of time they could produce the item in batches all the while banking interest on money they’ve already collected. Let’s be honest, they are not producing cars. The design has already been done, molds have already been created. All they need to do is go into production once the customer pays. Again O risk on their end!!!
@@out_of_foucs_toys Well I've worked on this side of the equation and moving straight to production after generating a prototype is not done as simply as pushing a button. There's a lot of leg work involved with getting production lines ready and materials in place for a large production run. The molds they do have at this stage are just for prototypes not mass scale. They don't invest into mass scale production preparation until the project is funded. There's a reason that they are a billion dollar company and its because they minimize their risks, including utilizing the crowd fund model.

The optional brace they added to the landing skiffs on the Dragonfly, from last month’s unboxing didn’t exactly set well with me. Yeah, they said it was strictly optional, but I dunno? Seems odd to me. They’ve obviously hit some kind of snag.
Right. I wouldn't be upset knowing what the delay was. We're all "adults" in this hobby and would understand that more than vague delay announcements.
WHAT!? what the Wild Bill yeehaw!?
That's wild. So you were ahead of the game in being prepped for the delay!
I saw it coming when they did the unboxing for the dragonfly and said well we're still working out on King stuff like that they said the same thing when they finally unboxed the his tank
I meant kinks
Ramen toys, Valaverse, neca, super 7 make you pay up front. It’s not an uncommon practice in this industry. This is the first gijoe HasLab that was delayed. This isn’t a pattern of behavior for gijoe HasLab releases.
You bring up some great points in your video! Just Subbed 💯😎
Thanks so much. Really appreciate it and hope to hear from you again!
That's why I'm thinking a voucher would work best. It's just a slip of paper and encourages future Pulse sales.
No, I didn't know that Mike. Thanks!
I wish someone would have asked them at SDCC exactly why it was delayed? I do hope since they are delaying it that they will fix Glenda's face sculpt. Actually an extra head scuplt that actually looks like the original render that they showed.
I am curious about the delay as well!
The minimal difference from the VAMP/Stinger and an upfront payment for the Dragonfly is certainly odd.
I wonder if something went wrong in the factory China or Vietnam (wherever it's made).
Perhaps the factory swapped out materials Hasbro wanted for cheaper materials.
That makes sense. I wish they would communicate stuff like that with us.
Was just on another channel live I said sumthin about compensation and was dam near reamed out and NO ONE IN LIVE SAID ANOTHER WORD ABOUT IT as the host went on a lil tangent about Hasbro doesn’t owe us anything but a haslab Anywho A lot of folks And channels are scared to speak 🗣️ up to say anything about hasbro Even if there wrong DEF JEFF U AINT SCARED Thow !!
I mean that's just a basic business practice. Let your client base down, throw them a bone that ultimately doesn't cost you anything and encourages customers to come back and buy something else.
And the FUNNY PART AINT TO MANY TUBERS TALKING BOUT IT HUMMMMMMMMM?
I don’t mind waiting but I don’t think they should take money from people for the “next” HasLab until the Dragnfly is shipped. Just my opinion…..they are getting tons of money “up front” so this is a bit ridiculous
Right. Preview the HasLab six months early just like the Dragonfly and then ask for the money in January.
@@LylesFigureFiles💯
Is this why we havent got a new Joe Haslab this year!
They're debuting it at SDCC.
There needs to be a Class Action lawsuit against Hasbro if they broke contract and promised delivery by a certain time. Because at this point, they’re holding your money.
I think a lawsuit would end up with those costs passed onto us.
The deposit route is the way to go. It's thing like that why I don't preorder or buy things that are that far out.
I say a free figure is good.
I was probably going too far with the free figure. A $5 voucher for Pulse seems like a decent "apology."
@@LylesFigureFileshms not hams😳
Very Sad! I told you, ANOTHER DELAY! What is going on? 😩
I'm not sad just disappointed.
Maybe the right thing to back was the super7 Cobra Mothership? Though no one can forsee problems like this. Until you are staring at the lame email.
I forgot to see how far that came to getting funded.
@LylesFigureFiles only half if I remember correctly maybe.
This is why i dont do crowdfunds bro, they got your money and can do whatever they want. But look on the brightside ..hasbro loves the fans 😃
I feel a strong like. Maybe by December I'll feel the love LOL.
Payment plans yes, I would have bought Unicron if there was a payment plan option.
:-) Me too!
I bet there's an issue with the electrical. Think back they forgot the batteries...
I wonder. That would be a pretty major issue.
@LylesFigureFiles if memory serves, they showed the electronics in the Hiss tank every chance they got. But not this time.
LOL probably not.
Is this another delay?
No, this is from months back. You should have gotten your latest reminder about your shipping info for it.
I heard this like a month ago.
I dunno. I just wish we had one in hand before they "borrow" more money to pay for the next one.
@@LylesFigureFiles Exactly! And we get nothing while we have to wait. Any other business would give you something for them not holding up on their end.
There’s a video here on TH-cam from last year’s sdcc where dude is doing a review of the dragonfly display, and at the end he says when did they say it’s shipping?another guy says Christmas 😂 i saw the video the day after I backed it 😂 I pre ordered a gundam from bbts once that was supposed to be shipping in two months ffwd like im thinking over a year tada🎉bam 250$ outta nowhere lol
A year later? Ouch!
They already made more money by putting it in a high interest account while they “produced” the Dragonfly. This isn’t cool at all. I’m just gonna wait on Ramen Toys from here on out .
Ramen is delivering some pretty fun products!
This delay is ridiculous. It’s not like hasbro is some new kid on the block. To each their own but grown adults finding some type of justification for hasbro after taking the money upfront & delaying nearly 6 months for a plastic toy helicopter when you can order a new corvette and get it built and shipped in 6-8 weeks. Come on man. 😂
Simple math. The longer they have our money in their savings accounts making interest in an inflationary period is in their best interest”INTEREST”!!! F em all
Oh I get why they do it. Sideshow has more expensive items and they have no problem doing payment plans and they're far smaller than Hasbro.
@@LylesFigureFiles I normally don’t complain. It just feels like every major corporation is taking advantage of their supply and demand power as we are being smothered by this economy. I get it, Toys are not essential. But F man, if you’re are a hard working lower or middle class person, now even w/ your hobbies you can’t find an escape, we’re just permanent slaves to the grind.
That's not how business works. Those funds go towards production costs which are pretty significant. Not making excuses for Hasbro but this whole notion that companies leave revenue to sit still in some account to accumulate interest is just completely wrong.
Pay with paypal credit dont have to pay off for 6 months no interest + all the rest of figures I buy rest of year I pay 6 months after I get them to pay which is nice. I use paypal credit for figs only so have plently of room with the amount of figures Classified releases every year able to retain a $500 min owed at any one time with no interest so techinally able to work it so not really playing for haslabs until released
Good strategy!
@@LylesFigureFiles yeah stopped getting line due to worrying when if Preorder would release on a bad week we all have them. Doing it this way allows me to just pay on the credit $25 week average without stressing when preorders drop. Stil have a bunch of hones to fill just when get around to it.
Hasbro doesn’t care about the consumer only way to make them learn is for collectors to cancel all their orders but that will never happen
Not sure if it's that simple that they don't care so much as in the event something doesn't come as promised, do something else to acknowledge a mess up.
All I gotta say is this: WARBIRD
July 21 still. She's no vehicle so I am almost confident she'll be showing up before the 21st.
@@LylesFigureFiles lol. We'll see. I hope so.
Dude people are so babyish about these haslab projects and complain about everything they can the whole step of the way and if something with it doesn’t go exactly as planned they throw a giant fit and act like it’s the end of the world 🙄 it’s so Annoying now all we’re going to hear for the next week is everyone complaining about how the dragon fly is delayed for 2 months 😭 by the way the last day of summer is SEPTEMBER 22nd
Now that I listen to more of your rant. I believe they should allow backers to choose how much they want to put on as a down payment. And when it's finally released they will not ship it until you paid the remaining balance. And you have two weeks to pay it. If you don't pay it it will go on the shelf and they will sell it to somebody else. You will not get a refund because the money is used to produce the item. So you have to be committed. 😂😂😂
Thanks for listening to the rest of the video :-) I think 50% is fair. Then the rest two weeks or a month out from release.
🤷🏽♂️
Yep
