Doesn't really mean talent but he def has the connections and resources and he does have talent but I'm just pointing out that talented parents doesn't necessarily mean talented offspring
It’s a banger because it has his grandfathers vibe from one of his songs as the main backing track, same as Survival!…Love the blend of roots and up beat dancehall cross ragga mix

If you are interested, I would like to see and hear your reaction to Damien 'Jr. Gong' Marley's album "Welcome to Jamrock". It is a classic, and beautiful mix of sounds.
Lucky Dube is another great reggae artist from South Africa if you want to venture into that continent. His message is all about love and togetherness during apartheid times. I think your father will love him.
The beginning of the song is actually Bob's voice....I loved your dad's face when it clicked that it was Lauryn Hill...would love to see him react to Willow Smith's TinyDesk
You and your Dad are so cool, non-judgmental and down to earth. Y'all are so open minded and appreciate all music. Your Dad is such a pure loving soul. ❤❤ Y'all. This song makes me return to God too. Love the family in this song. Wish Bob M. was here.
Your dads reaction when he realizes who YGs mother is brought tears to my eyes. He so gets the brilliance of this song. For me and millions of other fans it might be one of the most uplifting songs ever composed. The brilliance of it is beyond words. That the video dropped on April 20th was just MAGIC. I listen to it daily as it turns any bad mood around. I LOVED that your dad also saw the magic of the ending.. You guys sound Canadian. If you ever come to Hawaii you will be blown away by the similarities of native Hawaiian culture especially the Big Island. We love Hawaiian reggae aka Jawaiian. Check out Ka'ikena Scanlan sometime. Hes our revolutionary musician with a message of change. Your dad's pure comments on this Praise Jah in the Moonlight was unbiased and so off the top of his spirit. I sure hope YG remains pure and never gets ruined by the fame monster. I do think his family will protect this precious young soul. This was absolutely the best review of this song that I have watched. You guys KNOW music!!!!
I lived in Hawaii for a few years. Saw concerts by Olomana, The Cazimero Brothers, Mackey Feary, The Makaha Sons of Niihau. Fantastic music. Will check out some Hawaiian reggae!
It's one of my favorite songs ever. It actually had me teary eyed I don't even know why. And having Lauryn hill and Bob Marley genes he's just destined for greatness. All around beautiful video, specially seeing the Marly family and Lauryn and yg jumping in joy.

And lets not forget the incomparable Rita Marley is YG's grandmother. The harmonies harken back to her and the legendary I Threes backup group for Bob Marley. The I Threes harmonies are very distinct. ❤ Hipe you caught the 2024 BET performance by Lauryn Hill and YG and surprise guest Wyclef Jean!!!!❤
Please react to either Chronixx or Protoje. They did a song together called "Who Knows" which you'll LOVE if you haven't heard it already. Special mention to Masicka, "History" and "Tyrant" are two great tracks from him. There's the whole dancehall/rap scene too. Skeng, Skillibeng and Tommy Lee Sparta are some of the biggest and best imo.
Bob Marley - Ride Natty Ride is a great song and has a cool story behind it! I think Bob is so under rated in terms of his actual song writing, guitar skills and all round frontman the whole band to be honest maybe it’s because of how famous the hits are around the world that probably doesn’t make much sense hope you get what I mean
you guys have no clue how many videos of yours ive binged the last few days. you guys are very lucky to be able to do this and keep sharing and doing this. keep your socials updated!
Damian Marley (Bob's youngest son) - Autumn leaves, Speak life, the entire Distant Relatives album with Nas lol Skip Marley (another grandson to Bob through his daughter, Cedella) - his cover of Johnny was by Bob, Cruel world by him and Seeb, and his songs Enemy and No Love Dennis Brown - Things in life, Revolution, If I had the world Gregory Isaacs - If I don't have you, Night nurse
At the beginning of the song where we hear Bob Marley …then yg Marley begins to sing….that made me feel a bit emotional, that part really touches the soul.Bobs legacy is truly playing out and we have more to see in the generation after that I believe.
Returning to this video just to comment again... I love this channel! Everytime I start to feel it's getting a little too Eminem/pop-rap focused you guys bring it back to Earth with real sincerity and appreciation for art/music, and I hope that never changes. ...and because I've yet to see a Peter Tosh recommendation scrolling through, I feel like its necessary to point out his contributions and talent in his own right. 'I Am That I Am' being a personal favorite. And as popular as Bob's later music is, his earlier music -- 'Soul Rebel', 'African Herbsman', 'Natty Dread', 'Positive Vibrations', 'So Jah Say' etc.. -- is so overlooked I think you guys should listen to it in your own time even if it never gets an official reaction.
Big up to all those who feel this. As a Jamaican woman, who Jah Mek Ya. This is it. For our sons to be loving and powerful at the same time. 🔥 we walk on. 🇯🇲 🇯🇲
I appreciate you guys stepping into the reggae side of things. I recommend you guys do a reaction video to either Protoje's 2020 album, "In Search of Lost Time," or Chronixx's 2017 album, "Chronology." Both were nominated for Grammys, were excellent soundtracks to the turbulent years they were released in, and contain each artist's biggest hits. They also delve into reggae/dancehall/hip-hop fusion tracks, so they will be a good bridge to the hip-hop you normally do. Looking forward to more reggae content!
You guys most definitely need to listen to Damian Marley & Stephen Marley. Both make such amazing music. Damien & Nas did a collab album called Distant Relatives, literally one of the best albums all time.
Loved the dad's comments, so true and noteworthy respect for the elderly, etc I'd love to do one of these types of videos and give my views as I've been playing guitar and ukulele for years and knew the music chords for Bob Marley's song CRISIS which is the intro section with Bob singing and as I heard this grandson singing I realised the same chords are carried right through the song minus two chords used in the Bob Marley song Crisis of his 1978 KAYA album, it was almost de javu for me to hear this song
I am loving this Father & Son! Yes I like this ‘Praise JAH in the Moonlight “ Lauren Hill’s input is THERE! Not to mention Grandpa’s touch (Bob) Awesome! I would love you to do Bob Marley’s Daughter- Sharon Marley’s STEPPAH-written by her Son and Produced by her Daughter Donisha (An excellent Producer). It included Big Youth - One of the original TOASTERS - a precursor to Dance Hall Music! I ‘m glad I’ve found you Guys! I liked and subscribed! #LoveSign
Your commentary in this video shows how much we are all connected than we are separated. But they keep diving us in using colours and country boarders. We indeed need to unite and get rid of these elites.
Listen to the live performance he actually sings like that and it's a little enhanced but he does sound good without it and the opening that Bob is singing on comes from his song Crisis
Not even his children, much less his grandchildren, can hold a candle to Bob Marley. This is an undeniable and indisputable fact! A hit everyone does. I want to see if there are more hits like Bob Marley.......
Can’t wait for the dub ! Great way to revitalize 💕 Dub is a treasure trove but please do Chronixx and Jr Gong Marley .. All the Marley children are wildly talented but Jr Gong will blow your mind 🤯 a visionary from such a young age
For dub you guys gotta check King Tubby Meets Rockers Uptown, and Jamming Dub version of Bob Marley's Jamming. Also Highly recommend Black Uhuru, some amazing basslines
Tupac and Bob Marley are easily my two "stuck on an island forever" artist choices, and it's really not close if I MUST choose two. It might not be the most popular album to the average fan, but you guys should 100% react to 'Kaya'...that whole album is an un-skippable, feel good masterpiece that I think you both would love (and recognize)!
Super dope bro. Everything about this channel is a gem! If can I think both you and pops would enjoy this classic DOLLA - HEARTBREAK COLLISION Mahalos from Hawaii!!🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Man I’m definitely gonna be waiting for Bob Marley reviews. Keep doing yall things. Bob Marley “Calls me dada” (unreleased song) “Slogans” Bob Marley was released after his death remixed by his friends, Clapton played on this.
Imagine having Lauryn Hill as your mom and Bob Marley as your Grandfather... the talent in this kid is INSANE
I would randomly tell everyone that I pass in the street. Every day
Mind blown!
Doesn't really mean talent but he def has the connections and resources and he does have talent but I'm just pointing out that talented parents doesn't necessarily mean talented offspring
So is the copy paste.
So true
The way Lauryn smiled dancing with her son you couldn’t help but feel the pure bliss and true love.
One Love❤️💛💚
It’s rare to make a roots reggae song in 2024 and have it be a hit. Nice work to YG. 🙏🇯🇲
And his other song SURVIVAL looks like becoming a classic too
u needa check out chronixx, kabaka pyramid, akae beke, and protoje bc theres plenty roots in 2024
It’s a banger because it has his grandfathers vibe from one of his songs as the main backing track, same as Survival!…Love the blend of roots and up beat dancehall cross ragga mix

@@Samirel34 if u need song recs let me know
It’s your dad genuinely getting emotional over the song, the meaning and the appreciation of the culture, very touching.
Incredible song the marleys never miss
The shot where it focuses on Ms Lauryn Hill was timed perfectly with the lyricis, “you can call my phone”.
This the type of music we really need
I love how Jamaica isn't Culturally Modernised. Its like looking back into the good old days I remember as a kid. Its Beautiful!!!
Cole bennett did amazing as usual
That's only in the "garrison" areas as us Jamaicans call it, the Uptowns and the Ochi's of the island is very much modern
So true the reggae family keeping things the same
What are you talking about? This video was shot in the ghettos there is way more to Jamaica
This song just puts me in a good mood
The fact that the song starts with Bob Marley singing (first part of his song crisis) is insane!
Jah Cure - Never Find
Fantan Mojah - Rasta Got Soul
Collie Buddz - Come Around
Nas & Damian Marley - Patience
Sizzla - Take Myself Away
Chaka Demus & Pliers - Murder She Wrote

You need Peter Tosh on that list, boi boiiiiiii!
His dad is soo cute ❤ and Bob Marley would be sooooo happy bc yg sounds jus like him

I think they may have… I could also be wrong 😬😉
the whole instrumental is a bob marley song.
Bob Marley sound plays at the beginning of this song. “Crisis”.
