I got some bad news for you sunshine,

Who let all of this riff-raff into the room?
There's one smoking a joint,

The way Bob Galdolf is really stunning. He is able to make the song really sound like a speech with really well placed pauses and spouts of energy.
Yeah… I see your point, but in practice it really dosen’t work (for me at least)
I agree, was a good Pinky
It's a movie so , of course he was able to make it.
Dramatized.
Bob's presentation here is nothing more than remarkable! He captured the moment so well. Genius even.

The arrangement of In The Flesh with the brass band and chorus is far more terrifying than I remember. Waters is such a damn good composer and arranger.
Roger Waters and David Gilmour, plus Bob Ezrin and Michael Kamen, for the album. Plus director Alan Parker, cinematographer Peter Biziou and cartoonist Gerald Scarfe, for the movie.
Beautiful👌
The right people in the right place at the right time -- made a perfect storm of album, concert and movie.

Its sad but true
I have been a Floyd fan from the beginning. I did not care too much for the wall album but I do like the movie. Back in the eighties it used to be shown on a Sunday every other week at the Academy cinema in Auckland. I lost count of how many times I went. The sound system lifted you out of your seat when the first guitar chord was struck when the fans broke through the doors during 'in the flesh part 1'. Aahh they were the days.
i cant even imagine. i’m envious i wish i could experience this.
If I had a independent cinema I would do this again, I would pay to see it over and over. Nice one ❤

Really weird how fasc saw this scene and instead of being repulsed by the cold, mindless violence against people and maybe rethinking their life choices, they were like "this kicks ass" and adopted hammers as their symbols. But I guess that's what you can expect from them.

This is from the 1982 movie Pink Floyd The Wall. Part 1 is the first 40 seconds, Part 2 is the rest. This video has both cut together almost seamlessly. The World War II battlefield and the "present day" Los Angeles street look so similar it's unsettling.
Part 1 is so perfeclty dark: the way he sings in a high, whiny note and everyone sits there confused as hell. I also love how it's ONLY white people, which someone who didn't know about part 2 of in the flesh wouldn't notice. Such a good album/movie.
Cato the Elder for an elder you’re pretty dense

Its hilarious how many people miss the point of this gem.
He is a man at his wits end. Hes dealing with emotions of betrayals and transgressions since childhood.
All mixed up in a person whose living his life in the public eye with fanatical fans.
He doesnt understand the fanatisism of his fans. He doesnt understand the blind obedience of people following insanity.
Him trying to work through his emotions has led to anger, that anger has led to hate and he has created this seperate persona to interact with the fanatisism.
He sees the absolute danger in being so obedient and folllowing so blindly.
But he in his confusion and mixed up emotions goes down that road a bit. Kind of like "if you cant beat em join em."
But he cant handle the insanity of his seperste persona because he knows inevitably it is wrong.
He knows hes not a pure victim and was a complacent creator in many of the betrayals by not dealing with his emotions and facing his anger and demons.
He fully understands at the end he had a hand in his insanity.
He fully understands that we all have a hand in our mental and emtional health and where it leads us.
We can not face it and let it rot us (the worms) from the inside and let the rot spill out into our interactions with eveyone else.
Or we can face the harsh realities of our emotions and work through them to the betterment of ourselves.
We can be honest with ourselves and realize our hand in creating our demons or we can put blame anywhere and everywhere else and stay in the rot.
He chose to put himself on trial at the end and to face HIS transgressions towards others that created betrayals, which broke down his wall and he was finally honest with himself and everyone else.

Right? I saw a historical drama about Mosley when I was living in England, around 10 years after feeling so connected to the music and film. I was like "Holy Shit! It all makes sense, now." It wasn't just a psychotic break. This delusion was very specific and significant.

This is the government, regardless of who is sitting in office. Are you really so divided and conquered that you can watch this story about an oppressive government and then proceed to the comments section and argue for the 'good side'? The message being conveyed is that if you don't think for yourself, this is your future.
Why do you think our leaders are all so wealthy? I promise you they didn't win a stack of money in a truth telling contest. If you are arguing along party lines, it's because that's exactly what they want you to do, and you've been divided and conquered.
