2020 I can only imagine how good it is after all these years of cooking.

Yes it does. Kind of makes the system go into SCRAMBLE mode, possibly screwing up the system.
I don't get why people are actually startled or affected by jump scares, I find psychological and atmospheric horror more disturbing.

The thing I like most about Womble (apart from his amazing editor skills and his ability to get out of bathrooms) is that his horror games, and if there are only few, are very authentic. He's reacting like a sane person who's really trapped in hell (apart from the nervous giggling that follows a jumpscare). That's really drawing me in.
Nervous giggling is realistic too. It's why "survivors" in the games themselves are often mad and laugh a lot. There is only so much the brain can take before it over soothes by laughing at danger. It's a coping mechanism for a lot of people.
This is also why people like horror and thrillers. The dopamine kick as well as other reward chemicals in people who like that stuff is basically euprhoic, because they "survive" the danger and the scary things aren't real. It's a safe space to engage in otherwise horrific things. Sorta like being spooked in RL and laughing afterwards. Excitement driven by good or bad things is seen as the same in the mind. Too much and most people have bizarre reactions like laughing a lot, or doing things that in that situation seem out of place.
Though not everyone has this reaction. Some people just cry and feel uncomfortable with this kind of stimuli which is why horror isn't for everyone.
I personally don't do well with super gorey stuff. I'd far prefer horror that is about atmosphere and jump scares. Gore just makes me feel sad and sick, so horror movies and games with lots of it just make me feel more like crying and throwing up.

I have only seen 2 people (I guess technically 3) play this game, first I watched Michael and Gavin from Achievement Hunter do a full play through of this game and the 2nd game, and I watched this video, I don't know which one I like more.
Subtitles make everything better. I love getting in the head of the person I am watching and following their thoight process.

Fantastic Womble! I'm so happy we're starting a new horror series. This game looks like it's got so much potential. Loving the fact that hiding in lockers seems to be a part of this game too! I just wish the character's breathy panting wasn't so loud in intense situations. It overshadows hearing you get scared which is the best part of these videos. Also great editing, as usual. The "Syringe" text effect was perfect.
+Neurotickle I'm actually with you on that. It reminded me of a criticisms Yahtzee once made about Amnesia a Machine for Pigs (I think it was) with the presence of a 'fear meter' when you look at an enemy. Making it feel artificial. I'd go further and say the game is making a mistake by telling you"Miles is scared", hence the heavy breathing, and forgetting that the player is Miles! Immerse the player properly in the world and that heavy breathing will be the players.

Love this, great job having a commentary that has jokes but isn't totally dismissive of the scary aspects of the game. Most Let's Plays of scary games are either "lol this is stupid" or "OMG I AM WAY MORE SCARED THAN I ACTUALLY AM." Also love how lined up the "shh"s are :D

roland young mount massive asylum is not real, but in the game there a people that try to contact "the leadville police" witch leadville is in Colorado and I live like an hour away from leadville. Also if you listen closly to the car radio I am pretty sure it mentions leadville to. Mount massive is a name of the second highest summit in CO at 14,428 ft.
