I have to admit I had not heard of Lee Hawkins before but it is obvious he is a great interviewer. He is well prepared, asks good questions & has a demeanor that I think would put the interviewee at ease.

What I love about this guy is that even that he has millions of dollars is still humble and being the same as a personality.

I have to say this interviewer is very skilled with handling a normally awkward and reserved De Niro. A truly excellent interview, well done WSJ.

The interviewer is very good. He does his research, asks the 'question' a lot of fans and critics have been throwing against De Niro lately while still being tactful and very respectful. He easily directs the questions easily from one topic to another, he doesn't dwell too long on one thing. And while he is respectful and cordial, he is very professional and not fawning over De Niro like some tend to do.

i like the fact that Robert de Niro does not like his private life out there for all to hear and also i like how he answerd about having endorsements ...he says he doesnt like his face on any product because the product must be able to work on its own not because its a robert de niro product ...really classy man that answers questions without sayin too much about himself he doesnt brag very humble i could really see myself having a conversation with him ...the less you reveal the more people can wonder

IMO, one of the all time greatest actors of all time. He is believable as the characters that he plays and never disappoints. One of his greatest, IMO, is the Deer Hunter which is in my top five movies of all time along with The Raging Bull and Taxi Driver. One of his most underrated IMO, is Bang the Drum Slowly which is also one of my favorites. Any one who does not think he is a great actor, knows nothing about acting!

Really good interview. He is usually so quiet and shy.
Interviewer made him feel comfortable. Good job.

I’d have so many questions to ask Robert, that I would even know where to begin.

Excellent interview - intelligent questions and great to learn so much about De Niro's other passions outside of acting. Subscribing now for more! I hope to see a lot more from the interviewer Lee Hawkins.

I’ve enjoyed this interview very much, I came to see it again. Excellent interviewing content and what a fantastic way to present the questions. I learned a lot from both Lee Hawkins and Robert De Niro. Thank you. Beautifully done and I could see how much more comfortable and open Robert De Niro was to answer the questions. I think it has a lot to do with how smoothly Lee glides from one question to the next.

That's when you know you blessed. When somebody ask you what would you be doing if you were not acting and you can't come up with any answers...

De Niro is one of the greatest actors who ever lived and a very smart guy. But he's absolutely terrible in interviews and an even worse public speaker.

    Deniro... the Great Pretender
De Niro calls Trump a "Wannabe Gangster". DeNiro his whole life is play pretend gangsters, talk about a psychological mirror. The guy has ruined anything he's ever done with smacking his mouth about politics. AND/// He's lousy at it. Bobby Boy, keep your mouth shut, do something your good at, and that's pretending. Then float off into the abyss.
