Hello everyone! I hope you have had a brilliant weekend. Sorry if anyone had some issues with the upload time. We messed up. We got all confused with time zone changes, sorry. Hope you enjoy the video. 🧙
is this your honeymoon or regular road trip? i'm asking because you both seem to be ultra happy. ultra happy.... th-cam.com/video/_jbSQaJsnJk/w-d-xo.html these words came out of my subconsciousness because of this song :)
That place Anglies miškas, reminds us what happens when forest is on fire. Sounds also was selected similar to forest fire. This installation was placed there because many years ago Curonian spit had a huge forest fire. Btw video is really nice.
May 1 2023: It appears those straw like cones are to capture the amber that floats to the surface in between them being “harvest”. As always we are not disappointed with your travels that you share the history. The village is cute. Smart with the paying to enter the park. It assist with the up keep . Bravo with another fantastic journey, ❤🎉
Lithuania's an amazing place, particularly where you where, the beeches are stunning and normally nice and quiet. Notice the tasteful handmade ceramic gifts, better than a chinese made kiss me quick hat 🙂 I live next to lake Asvejas in one of the regional parks, well worth a visit if you get time. Check out Moletia as well for stunning lakes and forests if your heading that way, enjoy.
Thank you for the passion and kindness that come through on screen. It's lovely to watch. I don't usually care for travel vlogs, but you two are something else. The most wholesome thing on the internet :)
Crammed a lot into this vid guys. When you were in the van with the sound of the rain......your sentiment as to it's pleasure.......yep, nothing like the rain on a roof of a tight cosy space.
As a Lithuanian, I smiled throughout the video! And your both energy is superb! I also been living in Miami for the past decade, therefore 9 $ for two drinks sound pretty cheap.. but again depends who to compare to… 🤓 But Ferry is expensive huh, in my day it was 20litai, which would be about 8 euros lol
Hi , a nice video , the second time this week on the spit ,via Y.T. The other was via Freddie Dobbs on Y.T. a motor cycle fan and his camera crew is Monika and comes from Lithuania . Look them up as their there for another 12 days . Thank for the video , very interesting .😊
Damn you must be either brave or confident enough to eat those shrooms! Chandlereers (Voveraites in Lithuanian- I'm pretty sure I've butchered the name in English) is what I'm confident of, but that parasol shroom- myself, with like 30 year of foraging for shrooms experience, I'd be hesitating! Good to hear you were OK
That's a fantastic place in the woods.. wouldnt fancy getting lost in the dark spooky lol .. another great informative video guys Cheers and i hope you have a sunshine new week.. its thunder and lightning here in N.Ireland :):)
Neringa (Curonian Spit) is a dear place for me and for many people in Lithuania. It is a place where humans can learn a lot about the fragility of nature and about the balance with it. Thank you for a sincere beautiful review on it :)
Iz you made me smile at 1.56 talking about "young people" How old were they? You two are just bairns and I would refer to you as young people! (Must be because I am a fossil!).
Hi Iz Tom,I’m back lol must have missed this one how wide is the spit ,you said you get your energy from lot of coffee, well it don’t bloody help me lol 😂 is this close to Russia 🇷🇺 I hope you will be safe yes I truly ment what I said you are one hell of a lucky guy but then again so is Iz to have you ,I have been watching you two for a really long time now but you amaze me every time your knowledge of what you are looking at and where you are is so interesting, take care you two love you lots keep yourself safe,.John 🤫🤥🤧🤩😍😂😅👍👍🌹🌹🤝🤝
Hi, interesting and quirky place, your info gave a great insight to the regions history. I also have memories of feeling snug and cosy in the tent while camping in the rain in north Wales 😀. Enjoy good nights kip, with a swim in the morning maybe??
Kia ora guys nice video as always love your take on the country of Lithuania, so informative and educational for those interested, as for witches and demons I have a wife and a son that won't leave home...lol🤣😂 take care guys, much love from new zealand🥰
In Lithuania, mushrooms are prepared quite differently, they are just an addition to the preparation. In addition, they are further crushed and oil is used for cabbage.

Isn't the King Harry ferry near Truro a 2minute ride?!? "Young" people playing loud music ?! 🤣 Oh so it IS mushroom season?! 😉 Really fascinating facts about the witches and pagans 👍🧙♀️ When you went for the walk after the rain I thought "Oh be careful you don't wander into Russia!" ... and then you DROVE RIGHT UP TO THE BORDER!!! 😱😬
Its a little factual mistake. Soviets sent to Siberia higer class: rich farmers, intelectuals in order to create working class. Paganism disappeared probably few hundrend years before.
Welcome to the holy land of Lithuania! We, ordinary citizens, are working for you. However, the biggest obstacle is our government. Their tourism policy and strategy are still difficult to understand and incorrectly implemented in documents and in practice... It's a pity... but we always want to make amends... :) We wish you unforgettable moments in our country!
I think YT is censoring comments. I tried to post recommendation where you can try traditional Lithuanian food at reasonable price. Try the canteen, and place is called 'Viskas-Lietuviska' and is located 'Puodziu g. 3, Klaipeda 92127' . There you can find vegetarian choices and is very delicious. Don't try random restaurants, it will be expensive. Melnarage, Giruliai is worth visiting too, Palanga is more modern place, but definitely visit 'Birutes hill' in Palanga(if you can :) ), not far from Klaipeda(20 km). I am sorry if I posted twice, just ignore one of my posts. :)
Avoid swimming in the see, because the sea in Nida/Neringa is open and dangerous, and has strong underwater streams and sand holes. Swimming on other side is fine, in Kursiu Nerija.
Hi, I saw something like this on the news. The woman went to dive into the water in the river in winter. For Orthodox Christmas. A hole was made in the ice. From above, the water seemed calm. She dived. There was a fast current below. The woman was carried away by the current. She was unable to surface because of the ice on the river. She left two children. So take care!
Hi, swimming in winter and cutting ice in river or sea is too extreme. Under normal conditions people should not do it. Neither it is good for health. But still some people do it. Well, sad for a woman, and her children too.
yeah we used our swamps as advantage to stay pagans until we turn ourself Christians don't remember for what reason but something for to become a kingdom we kind of was like from movie asterisk and obelisks against romenians or something similar xD

Some of the simple, "simple", food you make looks so good.
Love the carvings and the info. Just thought the straw in the lake might be to counter algal bloom. Nice one have fun👌

Guys, I saw you in Preila! I thought who is camping here with a van and now I found out!
I love your positivity about the rain. 💪We Lithuanians have Witch Mountain and Hill of Crosses. I like this one in the video more 😉

As you where there on that side you should hoped to other side to sea museum. Normally as last sunday of the month the tickets are free there.
You should definetly go to Šatrija in Lithuania, the holy pagan hill, and see the eternal fire there (Amžinoji Šatrijos Ugnis).
my grandfather did the Belzabub sculpture :)
That’s really cool, the sculptures were brilliant

Careful with the mushrooms guys, mushrooms are probably the biggest hazard in Lithuania. You have to be a strong 100% sure of what you pick.
Women are pretty. That's why I clicked on this video. Maybe I'll catch watch you later.
Lucky you finding a large parasol, I think they taste steak like, maybe lost on vegans 😃😁
I agree! I loved steak before going vegan, it was like a really rare yummy stake! Amazing
