I always enjoy your videos. They are so informative. I only have a handful of inks from Dominant Industry (Romania Red is a favorite) and I see some lovely choices here. I must get Downpour! As an aside (and for the possible benefit of any newbies watching), there is no need to shake an ink bottle before use unless the ink has shinmer in it. The pigment is already distributed. Inks with shimmer in them should be rolled, not vigorously shaken. Shaking creates air bubbles, which can be annoying when filling a pen. It can be satisfying to give each bottle a shake, but it makes no difference in the ink.

Hi, Marilyn! Thanks for watching - and yes, you should totally get Downpour. It's lovely and so fun to see - especially on pages with large chunks of text. Also, shaking can definitely create air bubbles immediately afterward (though they go down after a few moments), so if there was anyone out there who didn't realize this, hopefully that tidbit was helpful. Personally, I shake bottles for two reasons. One, it's a habit. 😅Two, it's also a comforting sound for me, so I've never seen the harm in not editing the shake out as I feel for some others who like the ASMR aspect of these kinds of videos it may also be comforting or enjoyable. Thanks again for watching!

I have recently nabbed a heap of Dominant Ind inks. They are due to arrive today. Fishermen at Sea was first on my list, I am going to do a huge swatch to get a look at all the shades (like the company photo) I got a lot of other greens, Downpour , Winter Night & several light purples with a lot of shading. Thanks for sharing this lovely lot x

I hope my comments about Fishermen at Sea didn't affect your thoughts on the ink! 😅Like I said, it's a lovely color, just not what I was expecting when I first laid down the swatch. What were some of the other greens you picked up? I've really loved almost all of the shades I've snagged from them, so recs are totally appreciated. 😍😍😍

Of course not each to their own 😊 (about FASea) I got Seaweed, Leaf Green, I think natural green, a pale green shimmer ink with a French name I haven't learned yet 😁 I got a sample of Atlantis too. They are very pretty inks.

I've been eyeing Maple for quite some time because I'm in love with how it shifts from an orangey-red to a slightly pink coral in certain pictures and lightings. I'm wondering if it looks just as coral in real life or if it's just a trick of the camera? P.S. I think we have the same taste in ink colors because I'm such a huge fan of muted colors too!

Always lovely to chat with a fellow muted colors fan! 😁 Maple seems to be pretty accurate to me on both my phone and my TV, but I would say Maple isn't really pink enough to be a coral. It's definitely more orange-red to me. If you are looking for a lovely muted coral, check out Wearingeul's Geppetto. I swatched it in my May Currently Inked, and I'm a little obsessed with it at the moment. 😁👍 Thanks for watching!
