So, Things that I missed, the squall golem only spawns in the gale sanctum and the gantlet of gales levels, and apparently Dungeons developer referred to tower keepers as golems. And, since so many people have said this, guardian and shulkers have evidence pointing towards them being golems, but since that has not be confirmed, I should have put an honorable mention after the Minecraft section.
People count PAMA as a Golem? Interesting to know.
@@rottenroads1982 I was just referring to how some people might think that its a golem because its a machine.
bro , leapleaf is an golem and you forgot it . same goes for the gargoyle statues from Obsidian Pinacle .
@@skrillZUPOLARCOINS4599Parjol The gargoyles are just statues, and the leap leaf is a corrupted plant. but thank you for the suggestion!
Imagine adding all these golems in a single mod
That would be very chaotic, but a lot of fun.
a pack called new default+ adds most of them as iron golem variants
Now!
Or golems+
at the time im writing this i still adding alot of mobs/blocks from scrapped content on mcreator (idk how to code and im alone doing the project) but im focus in adding not only spin off games , table games and book cameos >:) , im not so sure about the release date but with the new neoforge update will take long
Vanilla needs to start including more of these expanded universe mobs and features. Like 90% of stuff in those games are really cool and would be epic to see in normal Minecraft.
It would be cool to have more of these guys, though I think that a lot of these golems would not work very well in vanilla. But mobs like the mossy golem or the Agent, like I said in the video, would make cool additions.
@@The_Dandaloriantrue but there’s also a lot of mobs that could be added that aren’t golems (the cosmetic pets or hostile creatures.)
i believe they dont add all the features because they want to encourage players to try the other games.
I totally agree. It makes the world of vanilla Minecraft seem almost boring to what it could possibly be like in the expanded Minecraft universe
@@flyinggander990 It's like, all these games exist in the same timeline but by the time I get here 99% of them are extinct.
I wanna get phylosophical: does the Wither count as a golem? It follows the same procedure in how it's born, just that it's more macabre. It follows one specific purpose that is to kill all living things. And if that's not enough, the black rose could be a parallel to the Iron Golem, expect that instead of gifting flowers to appeal to the things it protects in order to make them feel better... the Wither is kind of organizing them a funeral, or more like... the Wither's views on how to "protect" things might be "freeing them from this terrible existence and not let them end up like us", so the flower could as well be a gift to pacify the souls it kills. The wither is a melanchonic golem to me
Wow, that is really well said, I don't think I agree, but that is a really good theory. That main thing that makes me think it isn't is its undead statis, and the lack the appearance or name of a golem. But I think it could be a parallel, that rose thing is a really good idea.
Redstone Golem, Redstone Monstrosity and Cobblestone Golem are 3 golems that i would love to have in vanilla.
Those all sound cool! It would be cool to get a non friendly golem.
they would all work soo well too!
I love that you included the prismarine soldiers, honestly i love them cause of their Cthulhu design they wanted to go for and the fact for me personally they're really underrated.
yeah, they do look cool, I like them too.
I think you could definitely argue that Minecraft vanilla has more than that with the guardians (as per the name, the fact that they're made with prismarine, they have a monobrow like other villager made golems, and that Dungeons has an ancient variant which is overgrown with coral and kelp), the shulker (with the fact that they shoot literal "bullets," having shells that appear just like purpur, cores that are end stone coloured, only appearing in End structures, and can be apparently reprogrammed to have their cores hover around sturdy shulker armor in Dungeons), and even the spawners (as seen in Dungeons, they move and shift and make special sounds when they detect a player with trial spawners acting the same way and requiring line of sight).
You could theoretically include wardens and withers in this, but you'd definitely have to go a bit more in-depth with them, I think. lol
Yeah, I have plan for a "Created mob theory" Video, in the future, so you will have to stay tuned for that. Lets just say it has something to do with the new trial chamber...
@@The_Dandalorian Oh yeah, I somehow blanked on the blazes and breezes. lol
@@WitherKing001 yep, That's what I was thinking, too.
Because of different complications, this video took me four months to make... Hopefully the next one will come out a lot sooner.
You forgot to mention how in the final episode of story mode the prismarine giant appears again but very glitchy, which if you left radar behind he'd return with the giant enderman to fight it
I mentioned that it appeared in the level, I just didn't think it was important to mention that detail. It only appears briefly.
This was a great video, I never knew there were that many golems in the Minecraft universe! And there are possible leaks for Minecraft Dungeons 2, so maybe (if they are real and the game comes out eventually) we will get more golems! That would be awesome, I love golems!
Thanks! I am glad you enjoyed. I think your right, in a few year there will be even more, and I might have to make an update to this video.
This goes to show that there are so many concepts that could be implemented into Minecraft but they'd rather wouldn't.
I’ve always wanted to watch a video about every golem. Thank you so much 💙
your welcome, glad you liked it!
Finally someone covered this! Quality content at its finest!
Thanks! I was surprised, I hadn't seen anyone do this before.
@@The_Dandalorian Yeah, honestly I feel like Minecraft Dungeons mobs and lore should be talked about more
I think technically the Wither also counts as a golem, since it is made by placing particular blocks together, despite it not looking like a golem that much. I missed that detail myself for years until someone pointed it out in the TH-cam comment section somewhere.
I'm not sure I agree, but that is an interesting thought.
@@The_Dandalorian It definitely is stretching the line, at least visually. But it does seem to fit the description of making one.
Great Video! I never knew there were so many golems.
thanks!
YOURE THE GOAT MAN
Thanks!
very cool video i was wondering if you can do the zombies too, because is the mob with most variations(similar to the skeleton) there is also a matel series called minecraft miniseries featuring a zombie mob "zed"
ok, I will definingly look into that. I'm working on another video right now, but I will put that one on my list.
Marc Watson, a developer, once tweeted that the tower keepers are "3 golems in a trench coat"
in another twitter, in reply to someone saying they were tuff golems, Marc corrected them saying they looked more "legendary", implying they are Cobblestone Golems ( and they do seems to be, judging by their arm shape)
huh, I didn't know that, that is pretty interesting
I’m french and this video was really cool, bien joué man.😊
well, thank you! I'm glad you liked it!
If I had to pick one from each spin off to add to the vanilla game it would be the mossy golem from legends, the prismarine soldier from Story Mode, and Redstone Cubes from Dungeons.
I think those are some good options. You forgot Earth, though.
@@The_Dandalorian never played. But if I had to choose, it would be the melon golem, as the other is a fire hazard for wooden structures.
@@fumarc4501 ok, makes sense.
I love mc golems. I love golems in fantasy in general. Great video
Thanks!
pls do more, I just love it
thanks!
Technically Guardians are golems too. Or rather constructs, depends on your wording.
There was an official Minecraft book showing a cross section of one, and they are deeply mechanical. I suppose the difference is Golems are animated by magic, and constructs are purely, or mostly mechanical, magically powered and thinking, but not magically animated.
I have seen that too, but the important distinction is that it looks mechanical. They have never said that it was. I think it was a teaser, not a confirmed fact. But, I should have put an honorable mention after the Minecraft section.
Jungle abomination is a golem too
yeah, That's why I put it in the honorable mentions. they never say its a golem, but it sure looks like one.
Squall golem can be a rare guardian in the trial chamber
that actually makes a lot of sense.
that would elevate 1.21 to top the 3 updates (imo), also would be so cool to have it, but i don't see it coming anytime soon :(
Shulker are actually golems
That's an interesting theory, I've actually had the same thought, and might make a video on it some day.
dude amazing 40 seconds in and i love it
thanks! glad you liked it!
Dace and jack were here. Coding 6th period
Forgot to add but good video
hope you were still paying attention, but glad you liked it!
Very nice i subbed
thanks!
6:15 not in all levels. Just in Gale Sanctum and Gauntlet of Gales. It would also not fit the other levels, because the squall golem is meant to protect the holy sanctum of the pillagers, and not the fortified rampart of the pillagers(colossal rampart)
According to the story descriptions of both Colossal Ramparts and Gale Sanctum, the Illagers are actually just arriving! So, it couldn't be theirs. Especially since the squall golems have more in common with villagers with their monobrow look that is found with other villager made golems (iron and guardians), and the fact that they have a golden hood shape to them which can also be found, though a bit more subtlety, on the iron golems. And according to the statues of the Abyssal Monument level, villagers did also where hoods similar to this in ancient times, so it checks out on that front too.
Thanks, I missed that.
@@WitherKing001 I think that there were some Illagers there, due to the existence of the Wind Caller. I think maybe the villagers there slowly turned into Illagers. So, I think the new Illagers met the old ones, and are teaming up with the corrupted Tempest Golem to try and destroy the world. But, I think your right that there had to be villagers there at some point, because of the look of the tempest and squall golems.
@@WitherKing001 Ahh sorry, my bad 😅.
@@The_Dandalorian Then what about ravagers? They have villager noses too, and they aren’t some sort of robots, right?
According to the wiki, Shulkers are classified as golems!
they were at some point called golems, but aren't any more.
Truly amazing
thanks!
Dude…we could have it all…but NOPE! I just wanted my copper and tuff boy…
Me to, hopefully some day. But, most of these golems probably wouldn't work that well in vanilla
You hit 200k x 3 nice job
yeah, This video went crazy!
i'm not a fan of how most golems follow the iron golem model, with the villager nose and all. Golems should have unique designs and share as little as possible, a bit like how iron and snow golems are. The redstone golem does that pretty well, I think
I kind of like the villager nose thing, but you are right that may to many are too similar to the iron golem
@@The_Dandalorian maybe if it's lore relevant, then why not. Which it doesn't seem to be with the copper/tuff golems, for example
Ngl I always thought the tower keeper and other tower mob things where tuff golems stacked upon one another they just look too similar but I may be wrong also they are bigger then a tuff golem would be but I'd explain that as the magic they use or something
Minecraft dungeons is underrated
agreed.
Wow I sure do wish minecraft used their ideas instead of locking them to spin-offs .
not all of these would fit super well, but it would be cool if they added a few more of these guys.
Rip Minecraft earth, it literally released at the worst possible time
yeah, who knows, we could have gotten even more golems over time.
You forgot the creeper, “moss golem”, as clearly seen from the mob book. You cant make it yourself, doesnt change a thing. Its still a (pillager!?) creation.
I didn't see anything on the creeper page about a moss golem, and while I think it was probably bioengineered, it is made of flesh and blood, as see in the cross section.
I WANT ALL OF THESE IN THE MAIN GAME
I don't think most of these would fit very well, but a lot of them would be fun.
@0:16 - Three, actually. The Shulkers from End Cities are considered golems in the game's code for some odd reason. There's absolutely no reason to do this as they can easily just be extending off of the normal Mob or PathfinderMob but no. They are specifically extending from the base file for all golems. The only reason to do this, in my opinion, is for a lore reason since the base file for golems don't do much on it's own other than making it is to check for what is a golem and what is not a golem.
I'm pretty sure, don't quote me on this, that that was removed. the Minecraft wiki says its called the shulker, anyways.
Tiny iron golem (from event servers),fake key golem, diamond key golem, adventure hub, treetop whisperer, action and squall golem, red prison golem,5 Ministrosities are golems too
I got the key golems, the squall golem, prison golem and the monstrosities, and the other I feel like don't qualify completely as golems. But thank you!
I say, all the mobs that Lost the Mob Votes in Minecraft Live should Be added into Minecraft.
Also, the Mob Vote System is Stupid. So many Good mobs, and yet only few will be added. It’s Stupid.
I have a video on all of the lost mobs of Minecraft, and yeah, I agree with you, and I think that they will be added at some point in the future for two reasons. 1: They only said the losers would be scrapped in the first mob vote, and 2: It would be stupid to not use those ideas at some point. I don't think that the mob vote is bad, just flawed.
The FIRST GOLEM ever made is LESS KNOWN?! I could never forget about it :,(
yeah, I know most people know about it, but I'm sure there are more people who would recognize the iron golem over the snow golem.
RIP copper golem, gone but not forgotten
hopefully one day...
actually jungle abomination is indeed a golem since it classified as a golem in minecraft dungeons file. not only that corrupted cauldron and monsters spawner is also classified as a golem too, corrupted cauldron is pretty much a living chunk of metal so it make sense but not sure for monsters spawns but since monsters spawner in dungeon is a living mob instead of a block like vanilla minecraft so maybe ?
also mini abomination, a pet version of jungle abomination is also a golem so it just made the fact jungle abomination is golem more certain
I think that the golem classification from dungeons is more loose fitting, as there are mobs that are clearly not golems that are under it such as the adventure hub or the tree top whisperer. The Minecraft wiki calls i the Golem-Like category. But thank you anyways.
@@The_Dandalorian yeah some of them a bit too weird, but if the game say so then we just go with it then lol
Go Golems!!!!!!
I knew them all
except all the firsts of mc legends lol
impressive!
nice vid
Thanks!
Hey you'll do it , almost at 1k believe in it
Thanks, this video has been unbelievably successful. I am super grateful for all of the support.
fire vid!!
Thank you!
I subbed
thanks!
Minecraft Legends should have been only golems as player units. Would have been much better thematically and would have allowed them to put in the snow and iron golems in, which definitely should not have been missing from the game.
Maybe they had plans to add them in the future, but I guess we'll never know...
Golems are a really interesting concept
yeah, I agree.
@@The_Dandalorian It's like a robot but more alive
honestly surprised they just didn’t add Earth mods into vanilla since the coda is already there for them.
That would be pretty cool, they did end up adding the glow squid, but getting the others would be cool.
I really hope they add a new golem, a ranged one snow golems barely damage the mobs
Me too, hopefully some day.
In Minecraft education edition, there a mission with more agent varients.
Why can't Minecraft look like Minecraft dungeons 😭😭
I hope we one day get the Melon Golem from earth into Minecraft. I know it looks silly but it would be fun.
It would be fun. it would also be cool to get carved melons.
Maybe a vid on all illagers like vindicator, ravager, pillager, wich, villager, evoker, and so on
Ok, That sound like a good video, I'll add it to my list.
@@The_Dandalorian don't forget the others for like mc dungeons
@@castel6773 Yeah, there is also the warrior from legends, so that should be a pretty good vid.
I’d argue that the warden is a golem of sorts, as it’s a behemoth made with sculk, that’s essentially what all the other golems are, giants made of a single material
That's a fair point, but I think it is a little too much of a stretch.
You forgot to put guardians in this video. In minecraft, guardians are golems, too. In minecraft vanilla, you have regular guardians and elder guardians. Regular guardians look like pufferfishes, but they have one large Singler eye in the middle of their faces, no mouths, just one large cycloptic eye, lots of orange spikes on their body plus they shoot a laser beam at any player in front of the guardian, they are primarily made out of prismarean blocks/ shards, and they have fishes sort of piloting them. Elder guardians are much like the regular guardians, but a bit bigger and a lot more paler, plus they have a Jumpscare ability that fatigues a player for a little bit.
Then there's the ancient guardian in an ocean themed minecraft Dungeon dlc pack. It's like an elder guardian, but it's corrupted by a shard from the orb of dominance, the ancient guardian is a lot bigger, more darker and it's eye and the tips of it's spikes are glowing magenta plus it has a scare of sorts on it's body. (It's basically a boss version of the regular guardians and elder guardians)
That is more of a theory than a confirmed fact. I think that they are machines of some sort, too, but no one at Mojang, (As far as I'm aware), has said anything about it. But thank you anyways!
I just want another Golem added to the main game. Mojang, please, make the Golem update or something, just add another Golem, at least 1, that’s all I ask
I'm sure well get one someday... Hopefully.
Oh first of stone how i love you
I would consider the Wither to be a golem aswell
Fun fact, iron golem was based on the robots from the castle in the sky movie by Miyazaki
cool, I think I remember hearing that somewhere.
Love to see a diamond golem
Yeah, its pretty surprising it hasn't been done yet.
We need all in one update
that would be... chaotic. but finding a mod with all of them could be fun.
I also dound it strange how the Redstone Golem is more stone then it is red.
yeah, that is weird.
Believe it or not shulkers are considered a golem!
Man I sure am glad that every single one of these ideas that are just not added to the base game for arbitrary or actively sabotaged reasons are fully fleshed out and like realized and then just not worked on it all. According to that thing with the first golem. Unironically despise Microsoft
well, I really don't think most of these would work well in vanilla, especially since most of these are combat based. I think Minecraft is trying to have some Varity in there golem uses, since both the copper an tuff golems are not combat based. also, the sheer number of iron golem clones would be boring. but, some of these could definitely be added.
@@The_Dandalorian Oh yeah no definitely some of the more combat focused ones wouldn't make sense in the base game, but like the ones that are completely and totally fleshed out with code and everything that just aren't put in for no other reason than people either sabotaging the votes with their follower account or seemingly what happened last time, them just artificially inflating one of the things and just pretending like people wanting them to not do that anymore just didn't happen So like I get where you're coming from but also bald-faced shown they really don't care about us at the end of the day and we'll just do the thing that drums up the most clicks more than actually what people want for like about it y'know?
@@YeetSpace I disagree, but it is fine that you have your own opinion. I'm not trying to prove you wrong or anything, but I really think that at the very least Mojang cares about the community, if you look at what developer do and say, it shows. Specifically Kingbdogz's almost teasing relationship with youtuber's, and Agnese's pure glee when she talks about the game. I think they have just made a few dumb decisions. especially with the vote thing, people are frustrated with it, so this year I expect to have some changes to it. but, yeah, I can agree that they definitely need to do more things relating to their spinoffs.
Shulkers used to be called end golems, but that was retconned away 💔 I suppose that it could make for a 31st golem
Can I ask where you got that information? I looked at the Minecraft wiki, and could find anything about that. But, I probably should have put a honorable mentions thing with shulkers, guardians, and some other mobs at the end of the Minecraft section.
