Hey thanks for showcasing the Straw Golem mod! I made the model and textures for them, including the big boy. The sounds are actually made by my Dad, he gave them so much character.
Mod like these just re-texture iron golems and make them "New golems". What i think they should do is how the mod Plenty of Golems makes golems, they have Different body proportions and new abilities but the golems showcased in this video, they, don't, really, do much better than the golems in Plenty of Golems.

The Clay Soliders mod is actually getting renewed! (Its stil very plain tho, they must make it more interesting in order for it to survive). There is also another golem mod called Golemania (also underated) witch is very nice but needs some polishing (like, removeing/reworking the TNT golem (changeing its design, the way it works, but just a little, etc.), Putting some work into the golem forge (witch looks horible and should be made into a multi-block structure insted of some "craft and place a giant building" thing), remaking some AI, etc.), but besides that, its a very cool mod, and its worth takeing a look. Hope the things I told you made you curios to check it out!

6:58 The Copper golem has a lightning rod above his head so there is a high chance lightning will hit him when thunderstorming! I have this mod and it is my personal favorite!
Another good golem mod that I would highly suggest is Golemania which adds golems of a few different varieties (cobblestone, coal, blast furnace, and diamond golems to name a few all with unique models and even a couple golems that are overheated when made)
Makes a golem or a slender to build a village for villigers. The town should be hate players. The mobs steal your recourses and have temporary protection from players until the town is built. Players can raid this town. 😊
I had an idea to make Chopper golem more exciting, it will be useful after getting striked with lightning, so it will attack mob by zaps them with their rod on their head
Fun fact: the levitation noise you use is from the moon theme from Ducktales or the new version with lyrics which is called Della's lullaby -A person who is obsessed with Ducktales
Btw, the reason why golens dont attack creepers in vanilla is because the devs dont want the player to come back home only to find that parts of it have been destroyed because his golen picked a fight with a creeper while he was out doing something, thus creepers ignore golens and golens ignore creepers
Im picturing a minecraft custom world where there are different golems in different areas of the world. And when you find a village there are different types there as well. The straw golems are working on the farms. The iron and lazer golems are walking around guarding the place. There are desserts where roaming golems shoot anything that moves. Theres alot of fun ways to use them. As enemy mobs are worker mobs. As well as "hidden mobs". A storage golem that protects strong items that he hides inside his body. And blah blah blah. Theres a lot of potienal.
