Wow. Stunned. 1 day ago i watched a youtuber poker pro trying to create a subscribtion-based school on how to improve your game, and now i am watching a this video. Free quality poker lessons. I dont know you Lex, but you have made this man a better poker player, and i don't know how to say thank you. You are the best in doing what you do, not only streaming and playing, but also on trying to make people be good in the game that we all both love. Greetings from Peru!

this is probably the best tournament poker coaching i've seen thus far.
please post more videos like this with bencb! or a video of you coaching him on starcraft!

Bought Ben's masterclass about a month ago and can't speak highly enough on it. If you're willing to put the work in you won't find a better teacher than Ben. Great content Lex!

Gotta give credit where credit is due. Ben is a much better tournament player than I am. The moment I can’t accept truths like that is when I will get crushed and stop improving.

Great video! One of the best players coaching the best streamer. I love the KJo jam with 15bb. I did this the other night in a live casino, was called by 1010 and won the flip. I was berated by three regs on the table, but to hear that that is the most +ev play from Ben, is comforting.

Im 20 i came across poker mainly over the past year i've just finished a maths degree so im use to studying numbers and methods so for this reason poker absolutely fascinates me. I don't have lots of money so i'm obviously playing the microstakes and although these ideas can't all be applied in the same way for me the thought processes and the key concepts can be. For example Ben talking about your bluff sizing depending on what bluffs you block, or the calling 3 ways pre flop being much better with a hand like 4-5 suited as apposed to 10-9 suited can definitely be applied and make a huge difference. Was a very enjoyable and valuable watch appreciate the content good job.

    • @-The-Darkside
      @-The-Darkside 6 ปีที่แล้ว

andjety one problem with microstakes is it doesn't break the bank no matter the decision. So bad players can get lucky far more often whereas further up in stakes they actually have a decision to make. I'm not saying move up in stake, but even one step up I found players play the game rather than bingo players.

    • @57sib

True but players playing that poorly gives you more opportunities to exploit them so works both ways

    • @dannaescu
      @dannaescu 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

raluca SWEET Girl you straight up whack. Have you seen bencb play? Have you seen girafganger7? I got a chance to see his graph before he went private. And believe me when I say "Oh. My. God!". Some of these dudes are printing money.
I agree, stress is hard. I agree he should not quit education (nobody is encouraging that, Lex the least!). I agree game is harder. But there is money to be made if you put in the hours.
I myself am a loosing player. But I clearly don't study enough. So don't think I speak with hidden intentions. Also, I can say that when I manage to bring my A game to the table, I am a winning pkayer as well, but my BIGGEST problem of them all is that I tilt so hard and so fast and slip into B or even C game way more often than I bring my A game.
      Peace (mad_man78912 from stream)

The stuff about 45s vs 89s just blew my mind, it seems so obvious, but yet you never think about it on table really. Against two players a 89s is more of a fold than 45s i guess. Very interesting stuff! When you start to analyze what you have been doing vs what you shouldve done it just makes so much sense.

14:55 KJs facing a 3b, suprised jamming with the pot being worth 50% of your stack after the 3b isn't mentioned. I know were 3:1 dog against his most nutted value range but if you throw in 10's and AQs were 2:1 and If he is a reg with some bluff or maybe some merged 3bs, + the fold equity considering the amount of times we have to x/f flop seems like it would have made for a viable option. Thank You very much for such high quality content.

Great video, but some things I feel as though can't be correct. Raise calling 22 from CO instead of open shoving with 15bb? (21:00) Surely open shoving would see a greater profit over time? You can push out hands such as 33 / 44 and you fold out possible reshoving hands that you flip against. Not only that Bencb stated that hands such as 22 - 55 have low playability, so if the BB flats (which most will with 60%+ of range) then you are in a weird spot on most flops that don't have 2x hands on them. Not saying Bencb is wrong by any means, but would love to see the maths behind it!

From the 2nd hand: I never thought of using hands that have significant equity against others (e.g QJs, JTs) as candidates to bluff. The way Ben put it was so simple and straight forward that it blew my mind - that KQs would be better than KQo in terms of a bluffing candidate because of how connected a hand it is. That tip has already made me rethink my strategies. Also, just how knowledgeable the guy obviously is about all facets of the game is seriously impressive.

Thanks for posting this Lex. I had a question with regards to the KJ hand you shoved from the CO at the 22:00 min mark of the video. How come Ben includes low pocket pairs as part of his raise calling range? I would have thought those would play better as open shoves? Only reason I can think of is it's to make sure he's not raise folding too often.

Lex - around the 22:30 mark, Ben talks about card removal affecting our jamming ranges. Stating that it stands to reason that if it's foldes around to ourselves in the CO, then the remaining players can have stronger calling ranges vs our jam, purely because more Ax, Kx, Qx and pairs are now moreso in their ranges given the card removal effects. If that's the case, and you're in the same spot here with KJ, are you still jamming? What does your range look like? Also, given these insights, if the dynamic is correct, can we potentially alter our EP jamming range so that it becomes looser than our LP jamming range given what our opponents may be assuming about our relative strength given our position(s)?
