Glad you enjoyed...and yes a sense of humor can get you through life's ups and downs! My gardens have always been my mental therapy after stressful days at work..now retired to spend a lot of time in gardens!
This is a stunning garden tour, and I enjoyed the conversations between you two. I especially loved how she mentioned her husband-even though he wasn’t present in the video, the way she spoke about him made it clear how much they love each other. The beauty of a garden often reflects the inner happiness of its gardeners. Thanks for sharing!
This is the sweetest comment...46 years with this guy and still going strong. Although, lately need more ibuprofen after a long day in garden. 🤣My gardens are always a gathering for family and grandkids.❤
What a wonderful garden tour on this cold winter day! Robin has a great sense of planting and design and is so fortunate that her husband builds such beautiful hardscape. A delight to explore this garden, Jay - thank you!
My sister’s garden is simply gorgeous. It is a perfect, peaceful, zen like oasis meant to be enjoyed. When you enter you immediately exhale and feel rejuvenated. If you could imagine, the pictures don’t do it justice…I am very proud of her!
I love her 'life's lessons' as Robin shares her stunning garden. Plants will die, so overcome that by planting more of those that do well, then enjoy them. Accepts that some will struggle along for a while but they'll come good. How precious are the memories she is creating for her grandchildren and how they'll cry when she leaves them, I cried more for my grandmother than anyone else on earth.
Gorgeous. I would’ve thought it was in California. I would never have guessed that this beautiful garden hast to endure such harsh winters. Which means if you can have such a beautiful garden in New York I should have no problem in Mississippi.
Thank you...some techniques involved hanging out the 2nd floor window trying to save my climbing hydrangea during a November storm....couldn't find that lesson in a garden book🤣
So inspiring mostly because the garden is achieved not by professionals and teams but by typical folks and is so well done. Also, she gardens in a difficult area and has found good answers to temperature and moisture challenges. Thank you!
I couldn’t agree more Kathleen. It’s more special when a homeowner does all the work and imagination for themselves. Anyone can hire help or landscaper. This is truly special.🥰🌸❤️ Liz
My gardens keep me in shape..I think I truly have every power tool known. My husband is truly part of the dream team...but we don't look very pretty in the spring when the work starts!
Jay, I would love to see a coffee table book of the highlights of the gardens that you have visited! Your photography skills are notable, and your ability to inter-plant stories about the gardeners and their gardens is a unique gift, I think. Truly. Title the book, Whispers in the Garden, like your channel.
Breathtaking! I have been wanting to do something like that in my space and you have inspired me so much. What a gift thank you. I will watch this over and over.❤
Jay, thank you for this video. I really enjoyed this as I am sitting in 6 degree temps and snow. It gives me inspiration to get through the winter. I am growing cleome seed this year and I didn't know they could take some shade and I have it. I overwinter my mandevilla every winter in my basement. Mine are still blooming but I have cut back also for spring. Robin was so down to earth and a joy to meet, even if it is just YT. I think her unamed plant might be Lime Sizzler Firebush.
I live in Indiana and plant cleome in various places in my yard, it is shady with only 3-4 hours of sun in the afternoon. They grow very well and this year were 5 feet high.
A garden will never be a garden without each other's love, that's what this video showed me, respest to the gardener and the behind the scenes handyman ❤
Amazing garden and it looks so fresh in September. Here in the South our gardens really start looking tired and worn out by that time of year. Thank you for sharing your garden with us!
Spectacular garden. It’s a beautiful thing that she could dedicate so much time to her garden. I don’t know what that annual was. I wish I knew. And thank you for asking about the watering system. I always am fascinated how people water their gardens.
So glad to see this today. We live in South Alabama. We’ve experienced a blizzard here this week. I’m having a serious case of cabin fever. Can’t wait for spring and beautiful blooming flowers. Loved this video. TY
Lady, you're garden is a dream. The whole place is gorgeous! I had to watch the vid twice! January in the high desert I haven't been thinking of the garden, but now I got a dose of arctic cold and inspiration!
I was pleasantly surprised to see a video from you in winter. The temp here this morning in Pa. Is 4°. Thank you for allowing us to visit your garden and thank you Jay for sharing the video with us. I am looking forward to enjoying more.
Absolutely beautiful garden 💚 Thank you to both of you for sharing. It was a delight to watch this as I enjoyed my morning coffee ☕️ breathing beautiful ❤️ Happy Gardening 🌻🌻🌻 Jay, I’m a new subscriber and can’t wait to visit more of your videos and gardens! 💚💚💚

It is so beautiful to get a glimpse into other gardens and to hear the owners speak about their goals and challenges. Thanks for doing these visits and videos! .) Great idea!
Thank you for putting this name in the comments. I haven’t heard it before and was trying to look it up. I wished Jay had put the plant names on the screen.
I would love to know how she over winters that beautiful begonia. I have (had) a lovely one and I tried to cover it this winter but I’m not sure it’s gonna make it. Her garden is exquisite and I’m struck by how healthy it all is. ❤
Congratulations to this beautiful garden It is just stunning! How does she keep this porch in such a clean state? And by the way: I never would have expected her to be a grandmother! What a lovely and handsome lady. I love this kind of gardening: not fighting nature, being creative, planting the plants which can develop in this area etc. Making hidden places, with natural shade, birdfeeding and so on. Greetings from Vienna/Austria, from a keen gardener too!
Wow, I’m so impressed and a little jealous, that garden is magnificent. From the street, it looks like everyone takes care of their yard, which is a big incentive. I’m in zone 10 (Florida), so many of these plants wouldn’t work, but you can always find good alternatives.
I really liked her sense of humor ,you can tell she enjoys life and doesn’t take life too seriously 😊
Glad you enjoyed...and yes a sense of humor can get you through life's ups and downs! My gardens have always been my mental therapy after stressful days at work..now retired to spend a lot of time in gardens!
My wife and I were totally transported by this tour. What effort and foresight she and her husband have.
So glad you enjoyed the video, my gardens have been my love for many years. They could not have been possible without a lot of grunt work with hubbie!
This is a stunning garden tour, and I enjoyed the conversations between you two. It never ceases to amaze me...what is covered in 4 foot of snow in winter...comes to life in spring and summer
Her garden is so beautiful and peaceful. Very colorful and well taken care of. Love it
Thank you for visiting my garden!
How lovely.
She is delightful, and her garden is stunning.
