This might be a bit too late to comment, hopefully I will get a response back with a thorough explanation. I am born & raised in Oslo, Norway. I have a Norwegian citizen ship (EEA, not EU). How do I proceed with moving to the UK (London) and to meet the requirements and qualifications. If you have any TH-cam videos where you proceed to explain more in depth about foreigners who would love to be a police officer in the UK, when they do not have a UK citizen ship, nor yet to achieve a living status in the UK and how to obtain it possibly.

Hi, if I want to do the police constable degree apprenticeship do I need to have 64 UCAS points to apply or do I just need to pass English language? Some sites say you need the ucas points and the English language? I’m so confused.

@@sania_rastihka3522I think you also would need to live for at least a couple of years in the UK to be able to join and as for language I’m sure that as long as your able to have a fluent conversation you would be fine however I think you do need excellent communication skills as it is a big part of the job.

Yes, absolutely! That is the best thing to do to keep going through it. But make sure you learn WHY each answer is correct. Also, be sure to learn and demonstrate the core competencies; this is key!

Experience sounds great, and for sure will help but the recruitment process remains the same for everyone and is not so much based on your prior experience. 5 at C and above, it would be good to do a constable degree apprenticeship when you're 18 and then you'll be all set.
Alternatively, you can use any degree to become an officer and get training from there.

Direct application - if you are applying directly to your chosen police force you will typically need either two A-levels, an equivalent level 3 qualification, or experience from a similar field such as the Armed Forces. Usually, the qualification requirements will be available on the website of the force.
Apprenticeship - applicants who do not hold a degree can apply via the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship scheme if this is available from the force you are applying to. This is a three-year degree apprenticeship which involves education as well as working in the field. To be eligible for the PCDA scheme applicants must have passed GCSE English language with a grade of C/4 and above.
Degree-Holder Programme - applicants who hold a degree (in any subject) are eligible to apply for a two-year training programme which, upon completion, awards a graduate diploma in professional policing and also opens further options into specialist routes such as investigation which can, in turn, lead to a detective constable role.

The basic requirement to join the police is 5 GCSE's- including maths and English. HOWEVER, there are many graduate recruits in the police and it's been that way for years now. Ergo, if you only have 5 GCSE's, you chances of getting in are not great. You aren't as 'knowledgeable' as you like to think you are.
