  • Visiting Semiahmoo Resort and playing 18 at Semiahmoo Golf and Country club! Last week, We were invited to visit Semiahmoo Resort in Blaine, Washington to play a round at Semiahmoo Golf and Country Club. Of course, I brought my camera along to capture this awesome PNW course.
Semiahmoo Golf and Country Club was designed by Arnold Palmer and opened in 1987. Although it is closed to members and guests of the resort; for a limited time, it is open to the public. After a $3.8 Million dollar investment into the clubhouse and course, Semiahmoo is definitely a memorable round. The rolling fairways, strategically placed bunkers, detailed greens leave you not wanting to leave. The level of service around the clubhouse is beyond imaginable. Everyone treats you like you are important. Overall, my stay up at Semiahmoo will be one for the memory book and I'm glad I was able to capture it on video.

Started this journey at 24.5 Handicap; currently a 12.7, seeking to be a better golfer. Seeking Birdies is a name that I think sums up the Channel. No one goes golfing and wants to get bogeys. Everyone wants Birdies. I’m Seeking Birdie Golf.
I do not claim to be a golf professional; nor do I claim to know everything. I started this channel to combine my hobbies of golf and photography/videography. I’m always looking to learn and grow in the game of golf. All comments and insight are greatly appreciated. I look forward to the journey!

Can't wait to play here. I've recently started driving up north and playing the courses in Bellingham. So many great courses up there. How was the resort? Would you recommend staying there?

It was great! Definitely a relaxing couple of days. I said it in my video but the staff are the best! From the front desk to the server in the restaurant. Not one person was average, they were all went above and beyond to help and make it a good stay. The rooms were very clean and had a beautiful view. Nothing negative to say, and I’m pretty particular about hotels...

Make sure to hit Shuksan, North Bellingham, or Sudden Valley. Lake Padden and Loomis Trail are very good too. We’re really lucky up here. Semiahmoo is gorgeous, but haven’t played there since it moved to private.

Jason, Shuksan is basically my new favorite course haha. I've played there 3 times in the last 6 weeks and I live in Lake Stevens so it's over an hour drive for me. For the money it absolutely can't be beat. I played lake padden as well and really enjoyed that too. Loomis, North Bellingham and sudden valley are all on my list for sure. Me and my buddies are talking about getting a hotel up there one of these weekends and just playing all of the courses we can in a 3 day stretch.

Hey your videos are so cool with all the b-roll. Have you checked out Salish Cliffs? If not I highly recommend it. It’s about 20 minutes north of Olympia. One of my favorites, absolutely beautiful course.

Thanks Michael! I appreciate the support. I have not been to Salish Cliffs yet. It's been on my list of courses to play for about a year now, I just need to do it. I have heard a lot of good stuff about it!
