    Great to see you back! Inspired me to start back on my MPC Falcon that has been dormant for over a year. Super jazzed to see that there is an upgrade kit available again. Buying it TODAY. it will help cover some of the Frankenstein work I've done. I did a similar homemade upgrade on the engine fans that you did years ago with the pill bottle lids. you're doing some masterful stuff. keep it up.

      P. Dub thank you man. Great that this build rekindled yours. You wont be disappointed with the HH upgrade kit.

      I can relate, I'm doing my own Falcon as well. I'm going to put some of your ideas on correcting the kit in mine as well.

    What an amazing job. I never thought i would find someone doing these qulity detailed documented work on a MPC Falcon. I suspect there will not be a continuation of the series since its been a while. Or is there still any hope? If not, I wonder if there is any huge realizations you have had while/after doing this work, if there is any bigger decisions you wish you had done different, so that we can learn from that. Im about to do this upgrade with my dear MPC Falcon from back in the days and will follow these videos and freestyle the rest. Cheers

    Wow! The geometry around the cockpit is great! You can do things I can't. How do people know stuff that I don't know? I think I'll go lay down for a while...

    Mind blowing how precision and true to source you are going on this. Just caught up with part 5D. My understanding of the MPC cockpit was that it is drastically undersized? Or is it that in re-shaping the hull and paneling the cockpit that you'll be doing makes it the correct size?

      ModelManTom thanks dude, fun project. When compared to Maruska's plans the cockpit is dead on. Hallway on kit is too long though.

    Have thought of using a hair dryer? Just heat the plastic over a wooden dowel, but don't leave the heat in one place for too long, or the plastic will warp as what happen when you did with the blowing water.

    Have you had any luck using heat guns to shape plastic?

    • @scaleModelAddict
      @scaleModelAddict  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Never tried with an actual heat gun but zero luck with boiling water and/or flame.
