best video I've seen so far about home.. thank you for sharing this; have sent to it friends here in Brisbane who have never been to NZ; missing home big time; must be time for a quick trip home to see whānau and friends..:-)
Catwoman (answering 3 years later), there is a council bylaw banning fires on beaches, but like most unenforcable bylaws/laws some people consider it only a crime if you get caught or have an accident. I don't recognise the waterfall either InkedUp.
Went to Pankawalla (at 1:50) last month. I wish I'd been there sooner as the food was just superb. Also went to Arborio (at 2:20) but the wait-staff certainly didn't go anywhere near that speed! Great video! Good to see a decent NPL video without that dufus Mayor (Peter Tennent) trying to get his face in front of the camera for once.
38 secs looks like a elephant is that in white cliffs I remember going there with the YMCA we walked one side to another first though the person who owned the beach then in a jungle and in some farmland then down a river and we made it was tiring but I was only 10 then long time ago :) took 3 hours but it was pretty easy walk
We as long term Residents, can only put out trust in our council to promote ilegal activities(breaking a council bylaw) in promotion of our city. reason, becasuse what a is a bylaw, is only accepted as wrong by a small number of council members who only care if someone pays them to enforce stupid bylaws its about time the council started employing locals.
I personally like the warmth ,able to be outside and enjoy the outdoors as long as I can.I was in Tariki for two years they used to say if you can see the mountain its going to rain and when you cannot it is.Hey if you like the place that,s fine .Gooduck.
Words can't express how wonderful this video is..It's TOO MUCH!! Excellent!!
Nice choice of music, makes our little city sound fancy :D lol

Cannot be that good a place has the highest suicide rates in New Zealand....Its wet cold and miserable..guess that's why its so depressing there.
Places arent depressing people are. Guess that makes you pretty depressing huh.
