I hadn't heard of Dune in June! Dune is my husband's favorite book of all-time! We watched the first 2 movies and enjoyed them. I've heard Ulysses is a very challenging read. Oooh, Reportage sounds very intriguing. Savage Summit sounds fascinating. I read Lonesome Dove for June on the Range - outstanding novel! An epic story, beautifully written, with great characters. Well worth the month it took me to read it!
Dune gets better every time I read it. I've never read past Messiah for some reason, but they get weirder and weirder apparently. Maybe Dune seems accessible compared to Ulysses 😂
@@RaynorReadsStuff certainly not, it's a book you need a primer with. I used Delaney's. I also watched Ben McEvoy's videos. The problem is mainly establishing who is talking , and identifying the allusions. There are some from Greek and Latin, Italian and almost every Wester Canon book. Good luck !
Did you notice I called it The Golden Rhinosaur? I’m such an idiot 😂. It was really interesting though. I’ve not read anything before from that time period in Africa
Summer has (finally) arrived! Very productive 10 days or so. Little House...for June on the Range. Excellent idea.
Thanks. I’m loving the westerns but I thought it would be a good reason to finish the series😊
That's a lot of stuff goin' on, Debs! Thanks for the update.
I do like to keep myself occupied. Thanks for popping by 😊
Always so fun to hear about what you’ve been reading! Thanks for the video, Debs!
Thank you so much. I’m glad you enjoyed it 😊

You read a lot of books! I read Dune a few years ago and it went over my head lol. I can't remember anything but sand worms. 🤪
Gotta love a good sandworm scene 😂. Thanks Storm 😊
"The Golden Rhinoceros" is a fantastic book. The period covered is so fascinating.
Loved it. Just noticed I called it The Golden Rinosaur 😂😂. I’m such an idiot 🤦🏽♀️
@@RaynorReadsStuff lol I didn't notice you calling it that. Probably because I knew the book and filled in what I wanted to hear.
@@ShawnDStandfast I should have kept my mouth shut 🤐
Imber! Used to live not too far from there, even less nightlife than the town I grew up in..
lol. It’s such a weird place to visit. But I enjoyed having a old around 😊

Haha. It is definitely more accessible than Ulysses! I’m really enjoying this trilogy. Plan to pick up the second trilogy at some point too 😊
I'm reading Dune to, but a bit behind at the moment. I have the first two trilogies. I read Joyce last year. Lovely to see you doing a video.
Thanks Clare 😊 What did you think of Ulysses? Am I being really dense?
