Hi, Beautiful bicycle, Triumph was always my favorite bike brand, I've had quite a few through the 1970s to 1990s when I lived in Eastbourne, East Sussex, England. Spent numerous days back then cycling through the Sussex countryside and around town with my family, friends, and on my own. I have had a few bikes with the rod brakes, but preferred the cable operated side pull rim brakes. The dynohub lighting system was really great, not the brightest but reliable, and saved a fortune on batteries. The SA three speeds were extremely reliable. SA also did a four-speed, but I believe they were pretty rare, and I only ever came across one. My Dad also had a Triumph road bike, three speed, which he used daily to commute to work on. One day, he road it to and from Brighton, a round trip of over 50 miles. By this time, I'd moved onto 5 and 10 speed bikes, including a Carlton Corsa which made cycling long distances much easier. I cycled Eastbourne to Portsmouth on it one day, a long tiring ride. Another long ride was to my aunt and uncle in Ashford, Kent, but I stayed overnight that time so was more rested for the journey home. In the early 1980s, I got a Triumph 10 speed from Halfords, which was a nice bike as well. I still have a collection of bikes to this day where I live in California USA. I recently added my first ebike, a Nakto Camel mens, which is fun to ride and makes the hills etc easier as I'm now 63 years old. I still also ride my regular bikes. I don't have a Triumph now though, but maybe one day.......
When's Daniel's Farm coming to TH-cam?😄 Great video! Certainly better than mine. Keep it up!

I love old bikes can't beat them
You got set rod brakes so they work better

What's the silver tube in the down tube connecting crankle set and the fork ?
Could be the rod brakes. Very 1950s!
@@DanielDrives I guess it's the hand tire pump
Enjoy.and look.after her
Did you change the pedals
I haven’t, but I think they have been changed in the past.
Great bike I have one 1956
I too have a Triumph Roadster, but although mine has two more wheels than yours I fear its acceleration may be poorer....
Haha, brilliant!
What a lovely bicycle. Yes, they are a real pain to ride and (not) stop, but so cool. Thanks for filming and sharing with us.
Thank you for watching. It is lovely.
That sheep had a "Baaa-aaaddddd" attitude lol :D
Absolutely baaaaast@rd… :D
Destined for a career in motor journalism/presenting, talented young man.
Thank you, that means a lot.
Brilliant, something different but still in unmistakable Daniel Drives style :)
Thanks Simon! Glad you enjoyed it :)
How to make an interesting video about a vintage bicycle???
Ask Daniel Achterhuis to do it 👌
Haha, you know it! 😁
@@DanielDrives it's all gold 👍
