    Thank you for making this so easy to understand!! I've wanted to make my own mandalas but didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars for an SVG design program! I knew there had to be a way to do this right in Design Space. I can't wait to make my first one! Started on it tonight right after finding your video! I can't thank you enough!!!!

    This was a fanflippingtastic tutorial! (that's a technical term) I finally learned what I have trying to figure out for a long time. So I watched it a few times just to make sure I understood the steps. I think I'll even take to the next level by hand drawing some of my own designs, importing them into Design space and creating layers like you taught us here. Thanks for sharing. Oh PS - I subscribed

    I'm very new to this so I love this tutorial. One question - when I'm selecting the sections to "remove" I don't see it happening in the actual image in DS like yours does real-time. I have to close the contour dialog box to see the changes. Why the difference?

    Im on an ipad so the buttons are a bit different.
    When i click on contour, there is no side panel like on yours to hide contour. When you hide contour and it turns green, mine stays only outlined in green.
    Im so frustrated. How do i do this on an ipad?

    I am new to Cricut (other than basic cutting) and to making mandalas so please forgive my ignorance. I just purchased some beautiful one-dimensional SVG mandalas from Etsy. When I open them in Circut it will only ungroup a few small dots and the contour button is greyed out. Help!

    • @CriftyCrafty
      @CriftyCrafty  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If it’s an svg it’s because it’s seperate layers. You can only contour one layer at a time. I would ungroup the layers, hide each layer apart from one. Weld that layer and then you’ll be able to contour. Hide that one and bring another back and so forth. T hide use the little eye in your layers panel ❤️

  • @dontworrybehappy8493
    @dontworrybehappy8493 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    This isn't multi layer, in the sense that each line of each layer is thicker and gives depth perception. Is that not possible to create on a Cricut?

  • @jamiehamilton675
    @jamiehamilton675 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    that's a bummer. you have to have a design space access membership to use the link you provided.

    • @CriftyCrafty
      @CriftyCrafty  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You have to have DS. You don’t need access to open the file but obviously to make one of them you will need to purchase the image you want to cut if you don’t have access❤️

  • @Britgirl58

    So let me get this straight - you cut out a whole duck green layer just for an eyeball? A whole layer just for the beak and feet? Isn't that a bit over the top and a waste of expensive supplies? I also think your title is misleading - clickbait maybe?

    • @CriftyCrafty
      @CriftyCrafty  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It may not be everyone’s cup of tea but I love making them and so do many others. Everyone is different. It’s a tutorial on how to create 3D layered mandala images. If you go to design bundles or other svg sites you will find the same sort of files all in a very similar style all with titles such as - 3D layered animal mandala, Geometric animal mandala, Layered Zentangle. We have held this as a free online event 4 times now and everyone has been very happy. Sorry it wasn’t for you but I wish you luck with finding the right tutorial for you ❤️
