Digital DJ Tips how about a page on the screen that allows for custom midi mapping. The ability to label the buttons. Perhaps using the utility and easy to load into the mixer when traveling using equipment onsite.
If it's anything like the 72 launch, it will be about 6 months late and the early adopters will get prototype hardware and not fit for purpose software. I wouldn't do it again.
i was hoping for a cut down of the 72 but this still comes with the Rane tax. With the Numark scratch flying off the shelves maybe a straight grand would have been a good idea.
I’m still waiting for a controller to compete with the ddj-1000.... I’m still not sure why no one else can make a controller with bigger jog wheels or better yet use the platters from the sc6000m with a more scratch style mixer layout. I love my 12’s but sometimes I want something with more portability.
So I really want a good 3 channel Serato mixer with pads on it and the only mixer I can find is the Mixars Quattro, but I don't like the pad arrangement and the efx and some of the other features. So would connecting the DDJ-SB2 (or some other controller/mixer) via usb, be best way to get more channels?
Pioneer will be back but I definitely want this. The 72 is dope but looks like a dam space ship with to much going on. This is like the S9 built with rane with more features. The price is what makes this perfect as well. I love my mixars duo but this is just perfect
Hello- I just got this. Is there no way to add fx to the sampler? Also my right software fx only work with right channel and Mt left software fx only work with left channel- is it supposed to be like that? Lastly the master meter is pre fader...is there no way to make it post fade for accurate metering?
Hi Phil, I’m wondering if i can add a midi controller as a complimentary device for my Rane Seventy mixer to control more than two decks in Serato DJ? I’m currenly using a rane seventy with a pair of twelve to control deck 1 and 2 and would like to add a midi controller to control the deck 3 and 4. I’m planning to map the midi controller as a deck transport control and also mixer control. As the Rane Seventy is just a two channel mixer, will it able to send all the decks (1-4) sound output into the mixer master output?
Pretty sure not, as doesn’t the Seventy only “unlock” the two deck version of Serato (not sure without checking). But also, the deck controls are limited in Serato mapping. But without checking I can’t be sure Gian.
Quick question will this mixer work with other accessories like day if I want to plug a cdj 850 into it will it work as a accessory or do I have to plug it into my laptop separately
I don’t understand why referencing it to S9? You should make the comparison 100% with 72. When we get a new mixer from pioneer you can make comparisons with 70.
Digital DJ Tips I expect the comparison to be strictly based on its predecessor 72 just in my own opinion, mentioning S9 is like been disrespectful.....🤣🤣🤣 a joke
Talking about the Rane 70 mixer maybe you are able to help me out. Im in the process of recording my mixes using a go pro. I noticed that the rane 70 has a session audio output...can i connect my go pro to that audio output? Any help would be appreciated.
@@digitaldjtips just to make sure im not confusing anybody....when i mention record with a gopro.......i was talking about video record my mixes so i can upload. on youtube and other social media sites. To get a clean audio....someone mentioned that i can connect my go pro with one of the outs on the back of my Rane 70 mixer. I guess what im asking can i use the session out put as a record output....since it has its own volume gain.
@@digitaldjtips Rekordbox pretty much does everything for you. Like the preleveling of your music volume is perfect. No need to adjust the trim. Rekordbox give you more option with adjusting the grid, than Serato. Analyzing tracks with "Dyamic mode" for songs with live drummers, is a life saver for me since I play a lot of 70s and 80s music. It saves me from having to go step by step lining the grid with the beat. The preview mode is underrated. Instead of having to use cue, I can just simply click on the preview window to hear music I plan to play next. I'm a HUGE user of the Playlist Palette! Being able to put my different playlist on a palette, like Im Bob Ross 😁, gives me a more artistic advantage and better preparation during a live performance. We can both agree that your library management in Rekordbox is GOLD standard. Also let me add the Saved Loops fuction is a lot simplier to activate on Rekordbox than Serato, and less of a headache. Pretty much Rekordbox gives me a comfort zone that Im in TOTAL control of my performance without having to do a unnecessary workload.
Got a question..my left side of my rane seventy is not allowing me to change the loop measurements on the fly...It’s only allow me to change it from 1/32 to 4 but not anymore...My right deck doesn’t have that problem. I’m not sure if it’s a software setting issue or a hardware issue? If anyone has a solution I would appreciate...Thanks
@@digitaldjtips I just got a response back from Rane. They said "You can stack the Serato FX, and use them with a single internal FLEX FX at the same time. The FLEX FX is not able to be stacked with another FLEX FX."
I will say the one thing that will keep me from buying this, will be the two knobs on the lower right side. I think it's the cue mix and volume knobs. They're too low. I feel like my hand will hitting them A LOT....
The session in is for plugging another mixer into this & I assume the session out is like an unbalanced rca master output. Not entirely sure though… anyone? 🤷♂️

Pioneer is really taking hits from InMusic on all sides. Rane & Denon are coming for you!
It's certainly been a salvo of products this last few days!
MQ Party pioneer’s insta said they have something up their sleeve. Regardless, this is a promising mixer.
Love what Rane is doing, advancing technology but keeping the classic feel....awesome!
Yeah this is a great setup :)
Thank your Phil and digitaldjtips I’m always update to new gear because of you guys.
No problem, thanks for watching
Happy to see new product coming out 🔥
Agreed!
This video hurt my feelings. I love my 72. It's like somebody saying they don't like your kid.

Keep loving it! It's great :)

Lmao funny
The record/music collection and skills are much more important.

Definitely do! Thanks
My s9 is for sale now 😀
Give me a good deal on it and I'll take it.
Very Impressive!

So you can hook up cdj's to this mixer and the decks will work with Serato Dj Pro
when is it coming out to the store to take it home?
You'll have to contact your local to find that out :)

I like this new rane 70 mixer but I still prefer the rane 72.. although the pioneer djm s9 is pretty sharp with very low latency 😅👍
DJ GodsOwn exactly!! That’s why i still can’t decide if I’m gonna go for it or buy this one or wait for a new pioneer product 😐
is RANE products still made in USA?

Can it help record mixes on separate tracks in Ableton like it can with the Rane Seventy-two?
Not looked that deeply into the audio interface (we have not received a review model yet), but I would guess that it can.
