    I have a question.
What about if the company does not wish to let go of it's employees? There is no mutual consent so the contract can't be annulled.
Seems to me it's not generalizable, since no one would ever want to get hired in fear of never being able to leave that place and be enslaved.
I will now go watch the next video, but consider also:
    1) what about if the employee likes the workplace and thinks he's making people happiest there of all places. Can he never be fired?
    2) what about if the company thinks the employees are making themselves most useful there. Does their opinion not count for anything?
I'll go watch the video now, but wanted to leave my thoughts

jennifer can break her employment contract provided she fulfills the pre notice period. No employment is eternal. A minimum starting period can be agreed upon in the contract. If there is none, then it's ok to quit. Some contracts also have an early "trial perdiod" where both parties can terminate the contact very quickly without legal issues.
19:31 "for the time being" , "for a while" is meaningless.

I agree in the talk that there may be no legal issues. But I argue at length that there is more at stake ethically than a legal contract.
Phrases like "for the time being" are vague, but I point out in the talk that they are not meaningless. "For a while" is more than 2 days, for example. "Hot" and "cold" are also vague, but they are not meaningless.

The act of cheating an exam has nothing to with ethics but are the rules of a particular way of conducting pass or failure. If one signs a contract that one will not cheat an exam, and then cheats on that exam, then it becomes unethical, because one is misleading the actual person who trusted the agreed participation.
I had to add another note, with the rider in the train getting a free ride because of not paying the fair. One should not do it because it is just STEALING, not because it will undermine the system, and then every train will require a ticket inspector...no one does it because it is wrong to steal in the first place. that is taking something away from someone.
