This opening and the visuals are just out of this world. This was definitely a homage to the Wano arc and honestly my favorite One piece opening. Its almost the end, I can't believe Wano has been going on for 4 years!
Also a big homage to all the team of animators their dedication made wano the legendary arc that it has become for anime history i'm glad ishitani took that approach they deserved that last scene too

While this arc had some sad times and happy times, the opening is kind of an ode to the whole arc as a whole finishing. The image of Luffy laughing in gear 5 is some of the most stunning animation I've seen. Watching that goofy cinnamon roll grow so much over the years has been such a pleasure to experience.
It's also shown from the perspective of Momonosuke writing a journal just like Oden. It starts with him by the hand written journal, and then every scene has a circle in center screen to show him watching and you don't see him again until the very end where he is looking towards the collage of scenes

This one is just perfect and the smile of Luffy said everything. It's not an opening of the show but RADWIMPS (who make the songs for Your Name and other shows) made a song called "Twilight" (To celebrate volume 100 and episode 1000) and honestly I think you might like it the song is really great (and the video too)

Honestly this opening coming from someone who has been watching week to week for years was like a calm at the end of the storm that was wano and all of the other stuff that led up to it.
