Hi Terryll Monroe, I've tyed flies for more than 30 years now and being a Ghillie and Fishery manager I learnt a lot and as well I have worked for a fly tying company in Thailand which has introduced me to many fly patterns..TH-cam has helped me a lot as many ask me about certain patterns and some that I have never heard of so I'll search the internet to find them so this is another good way to learn new flies..I'm glad you liked the fly and the original Grunter was tyed by Grant Luke of Scotland... Hi George, The Grunter style of fly is certainly worth having in your box as it's like one of those flies that you tye and only works best when it's falling apart or a dry that has lost it's tail and sits like it's no chance of coming off so fish think it's got no chance of flying off..I'm sorry I'll not be at the open weekend as I have other plans due to it being easter weekend..
