Human is in my top 10 favorite albums EVER! Het vocal are outta this world as are the songs and lyrics. Everything about that album was pure gold. No songs about sex, twerking or any of that mess. At her album signing for Two Eleven. I brought her Human album(along with the rest). That album cover and booklet is so dark, you can't get her to sign anywhere. That's the only issue with the album. Other than that💯. It's her 2nd best album. Right behind Two Eleven deluxe

I think they possibly had a tighter album whenever she first turned it in to EPIC(sony) and they made her go back re record because they wanted a more pop record. I think Rodney could have stepped in more with production but who knows if they gave him a decent bag for a whole record….so many leaks were from that album and the songs she did with Timbaland that didn’t make the album sound alot more fitting than some of the other songs….I also think she should have avoided all the press at that time because daytime tv people would constantly bring up the car accident during the human promo
She snapped on that whole album. First & Love makes me go crazy. Torn Down is a classic. I can play that whole album all day. Her only problem is she lied about the Marriage and got exposed that year. Now she hates it...and all her fans follow the leader

Lol I can see that I WILL SAY THIS Rodney didn’t produce a lot of records on that album lol the records he did produce were cohesive and conceptual but it’s goes away right after the first suite of songs the definition, warm it up with love & right here ARE ALL BANGERS But cohesive and different…the album severely changes with “long distance” ( a song Bruno mars wrote & I didn’t like LD as a song for her & for the album it does not fit the human album at all) camaflauge & torn down do bring it back to place of cohesion but then it falls off again…too many one off producers were involved in the project

I only listen to The Definition, Right Here, Warm It Up (With Love) & Camouflage off of that album, but only cos its such a pop driven album and her core sound is r&b. Rodney tried too hard to make her chart with pop tracks that he fucked up her sound and confused her fanbase and undercharted. She has so much unreleased r&b music from that era that should have been on the real Human album. It is sad that Brandy's main issue is that it didnt chart well though.
And Rodney did the production on those songs he gave her good music suites for the album but the other producers on the album kinda do stray away from the sound he started the album with. But she gave us one of the best albums a Brandy listener could want.

I get why Brandy is hard on that album, out of all her albums it’s one of the most generic sounding albums. Meaning any pop singer could’ve sung those. Rodney Jerkins was known to be a super creative producer so she was underwhelmed with what he gave her. However that album is great, even the message of it was perfection. I get her artistry of always wanting to push R&B to new levels but it’s ok to do more traditional songs
Human is an entirely a genre shift for Brandy. It just sounded pop in nature which does not actually reflecta Brandy as an artist and all of her previous works. Whether the album flop or not, I believed Brandy will still have not liked that album. Im just upset she pushed the blame to Rodney. I believed Brandy had control of the album on how she wanted and I do also believed she wanted a more pop sound for that album. And Rodney did a great job in sounding pop. It's literally in my top 3 favorite Brandy albums even Brandy needs to really go back listen and dissect what she did on that album. Camouflage is one of my top 5 tracks from her in her catalog True Acapella Long Distance Right Here Departed Yes! Lemme go pop that album in!
Just listened to the entire album for the first time and I personally loved it. It’s different from all her other albums but I appreciate the risk she took with it. I think quality of the album was fine, it’s the lack of marketing and promotion that hurt it same with Full Moon and Afrodisac. Full Moon and Afrodisiac were amazing albums but they would’ve done better commercially had they been pushed better.
I agree with Brandy. I am a huuuuuge Brandy fan but even though Brandy's vocals are top notched on the Human album I am not ever in the mood for the vibe of it. Its just not my cup of tea.

She could be speaking on some deeper shit besides just liking the record. He could have had control over which songs were selected. For example, he could have influenced the label to go with certain tracks. The album could have been more successful if just a handful of songs brandy thought were more creative included on the record. A lot of tracks that were not chosen during the human album were amazing as hell. I'm speaking pretentiously, but she's not given me a salty vibe she seems genuinely conflicted about the final product
I liked Torn Down, Warm It Up, 1st & Love, A Capella. But most of the songs were just too goody-goody and Pop-y. They were trying too hard to save her good girl image that they lost her sauce. Bran was cooking with grease on Afrodisiac, she was spicy. Human needed some sauce, some black pepper or something lol. People saying this is her best album is wild to me. It's very inspirational, but Human was not better than Never Say Never, Full Moon, or Afrodisiac.

It's my 2nd favorite Brandy album. Right behind Two Eleven deluxe. I can play Human straight to the end with no skips. Still, 1st & Love & Torn Down are the two songs that pops in my head if I heard about her album Human🔥💯🔥💯
She is CRAZY that album is incredible!! I mean imagine being so insanely talented that you think an amazing album you recorded isn’t great! 🤯

I'm feelin' her "Human" wasn't sound like I used to listen from her.
I get why Brandy is hard on that album, out of all her albums it’s one of the most generic sounding albums. Meaning any pop singer could’ve sung those. Rodney Jerkins was known to be a super creative producer so she was underwhelmed with what he gave her. However that album is great, even the message of it was perfection. I get her artistry of always wanting to push R&B to new levels but it’s ok to do more traditional songs
Human is an entirely a genre shift for Brandy. It just sounded pop in nature which does not actually reflecta Brandy as an artist and all of her previous works. Whether the album flop or not, I believed Brandy will still have not liked that album. Im just upset she pushed the blame to Rodney. I believed Brandy had control of the album on how she wanted and I do also believed she wanted a more pop sound for that album. And Rodney did a great job in sounding pop. Right Here (departed) was a bop!

Just listened to the entire album for the first time and I personally loved it. It’s different from all her other albums but I appreciate the risk she took with it. I think quality of the album was fine, it’s the lack of marketing and promotion that hurt it same with Full Moon and Afrodisac. Full Moon and Afrodisiac were amazing albums but they would’ve done better commercially had they been pushed better.

I agree with Brandy. I am a huuuuuge Brandy fan but even though Brandy's vocals are top notched on the Human album I am not ever in the mood for the vibe of it. Its just not my cup of tea.

Human is a GREAT Album.
She dont need to blame him because the Album wasnt successful. I think all artists have albums that arent as successful as the others. But I loved Human. I remember buying it when it was released
She could be speaking on some deeper shit besides just liking the record. He could have had control over which songs were selected. For example, he could have influenced the label to go with certain tracks. The album could have been more successful if just a handful of songs brandy thought were more creative included on the record.
A lot of tracks that were not chosen during the human album were amazing as hell.

I liked Torn Down, Warm It Up, 1st & Love, A Capella. But most of the songs were just too goody-goody and Pop-y. They were trying too hard to save her good girl image that they lost her sauce. Bran was cooking with grease on Afrodisiac, she was spicy. Human needed some sauce, some black pepper or something lol. People saying this is her best album is wild to me. It's very inspirational, but Human was not better than Never Say Never, Full Moon, or Afrodisiac.
I can’t lie when I say that I feel sooo much better knowing that Brandy didn’t really care for the Human album because… it’s not exactly one of my favorites! 😭 HUGE Brandy fan, but I just cannot, for the life of me, get into that album. 😩

ok human is a good album but you could tell it wasn’t brandy. it was almost like a ‘brandy sings pop’ when you listen to her 2nd 3d, 7th and christmas album it’s BRANDY. darkchild gave hus ALL into full moon and her second album you can tell what she meant. As artists we give our music like because it is our life and when people don’t take that seriously it hurts on a personal level.

I think the only reason she didn’t like it was because I didn’t do good and unfortunately the only people you can blame for that is the fans. A lot of her fan base radius to the R&B sound and did not like pop.

I like brandy.. I just think the human album didn't sale well and she wasn't happy vocally the album was decent to me it coulda been better but it did what it supposed to do vocally it was good!
