Madison et al Trust in Automated Vehicles SEIDS 2021

AFRL supports human-autonomy teaming research at the United States Air Force Academy. In this video, cadets majoring in human systems engineering discuss their development and validation of a trust measurement system within a Tesla Mobile Laboratory. Previous to this research, trust in technology was studied in benign lab environments. This study will examine trust through physiological, behavioral, and self-report measures to make human-automation interaction safer in the near term. In the future, it will help DoD understand trust more holistically and precisely and especially as automation becomes autonomy (e.g., AI). Full paper: ieeexplore.iee...
