Gard, this guitarist was hot as hell back in the day. Didn’t know his name back then. He should have been the lead singer of Sniff And The Tears. They would have been more well known had that happened. But alas, he is a guitarist. And a good one.
Using a dummy account here. Don't try to find me. I met Loz back in the early 2000's. I was to visit a friend's wedding in Ireland and when done, Loz picked me up in London. Drove me back to Brighton and I stayed near his flat at a B&B. Two days we talked a good bit. Strange to meet a hero from my youth to find I become a peer. Well... not entirely of course but I myself grew up to join a band but left that behind while his life remained just music. I learned of his time with Sniff N' the Tears, his family life and so much more. We took to walks as he shown me about the town and I grew to appreciate him as a true TRUE musician to the core. Learned his real love is the blues and found that sometimes... sometimes it's okay to meet your heroes. Not all of them will let you down. Loz is a humble man, and absolute professional in his craft. His ability to create is astonishing. It has always been a meeting I cherish and the photos of us walking along the beach are ones I fondly stow away where no one can appreciate them as I do. My wife and kids at the time even grew to love his sounds where they may have their own other interests. Loz gave me music that is to this day unreleased. I promised to NEVER copy it or distribute it and I never went back on that promise. Although I wish others could hear some of it the way I do. For years I have a number of his songs in varied playlists along modern contemporary tunes and I've never lost sight of the honor it is to have those songs to myself. Sure a few others probably have them too, but I'm one of those few and that means a lot. This guy is special and to this day I'm perplexed he is not more appreciated by the industry. Loz, if you ever find this note, I'm sure you know exactly who I am. Our meeting was a time I'll greatly appreciate. My life continue to treat you well.
Loz looks a little freaked about how unprepared the interviewer is. Like, hey, mate you were in Led Zeppelin right in the mid-eighties right mate? kinda questions. If Loz would have sung lead with Sniffin, they would have gone a lot further, Paul is a great songwriter, but not great eye candy
