- The Manhart TR700 takes the already rapid Porsche 911 Turbo and injects more oomph to take the horsepower to 713PS and torque as far as 971nm! Let's explore the car's modifications before hearing it and going out for a drive to get a feel for what it's all about.
The TR 700 is finished in the Manhart design livery of black and gold, with a new exhaust and muffler system that's TUV approved, on H&R Lowering Springs that are 30mm lower than normal. The wheels are TechArt Formula IV and the rear spoiler is from Moshammer.
We kick start checking out the car inside the Manhart showroom in Germany before heading out to drive in the countryside and then the Autobahn - or at least searching for an opportunity to experience the power amongst the traffic!

So the big question is what have they done to the engine? Still the original Porsche Turbos with VTG and no turbo lag, or new larger turbos without VTG and a turbo lag?

This car is unbelievable where it is a daily driver and a performance car. Also, I very much like the black and gold Manhart livery which is the perfect depiction of the car's characteristics and with surprisingly a much better exhaust sound. The 911 turbo with these modifications is completely worth it. Loved the video Shmee seeing a Porsche after quite a long time. Shquad!!!
The versatility of this car is insane! I was stunned by how quick it is. It literally doesn't slow down until 330 km/h.... yet it does it with such ease unlike any other car I've driven before. And at the same time you can use it comfortably every day, no matter what weather
I think the Turbo/S gets completely over looked by the GT cars. The Turbo S is the best overall 911 in my opinion.
Gt2rs and gt3rs have way more soul imo

I rode in a Turbo S at Porsche Experience Center Atlanta, and it was insane! The shifts are seamless, the acceleration is brutal, yet the ride was comfortable. Definitely one of the best daily drivers that will put a smile on your face.

@@maurizioarrivabene8182 Almost certainly not bigger turbos. 68/71mm turbos will take the car to 700+ *all wheel* horsepower.
@@maurizioarrivabene8182Wrong. I have a 991.2 Turbo S. You can get over 700hp on stock turbos, with exhaust, plenum and y-pipe. You'd be smart to go with larger intercoolers too. You get well into the 800s with 68/71mm VTGs and you can go far beyond with Syvec controller + non-VTG turbos. If you want 700+ to the *wheels* then yes, you'll need upgraded turbos.
@@maurizioarrivabene8182 Replacement turbo aren't cheap and they still require exhaust, tune and upgraded intake piping. Bolt-on 991.1 cars with 68 or 71mm VTG turbos are doing about 180mph in the 1/2 mile. I expect the 991.2 cars to best that. By comparison a 720S runs about 170.

Would you say this or the PP Performance package? There are so many power-gain kits out there for the 911 Turbo, it's hard to choose! Also, it's difficult to gauge how reliability is affected in the long run. Nevertheless, great vid Shmee! Thanks for the upload 👍🏼
Maybe you should consider a Turbo S somewhere down the road, but you have a couple of years before you can find the edges of the cars you have coming! :) I envy you with the GT and the Senna coming! When you get bored with the GT-R you can replace it with the Turbo S? Have fun and enjoy and keep the great videos coming! :)
